Lanzerac Hotel & Spa

Our stay at Lanzerac was good but having stayed previously, we certainly felt a decline in the level of service. The staff remain friendly and this really makes a difference when returning from Europe! It's a beautiful estate and well located to visit the winelands. I highly recommend a visit even if just for the day or an indulgence at the SPA.

Классный отель, очень внимательный персонал , кухня супер , блюда оригинальные, красивая подача!) территория отеля красивая, бегают белки , спа зона понравилась!) Единственное что не очень понравилось, это ванная комната на втором этаже, постоянно бегали туда сюда)))) но это мелочи)

We enjoyed a romantic evening at Lanzerac and had a great Spa treatment as well as dinner in the Taphuis Restaurant. Friendly and efficient service and beautifully appointed accommodation. Highly recommended!

Visited boxing day for a “taste experience”, well we certainly got that! The first course, what’s a duck egg in some sweet sauce as a starter?. This was followed by ”surf & Turf” which consisted of one scallop sat on pieces of lamb and segments of grapefruit. As you would expect it just didn’t work and was absolutely disgusting, I then started to question if we were being fed leftovers from Christmas Day. The fish course was a piece of bland unseasoned King lip, with some green local nettle and mushroom puree which was bitter, paired with a red wine! In fairness the lamb (again) for main course with the potato was delicious, apart from the old brown broccoli that I gave to the waiter to give back to the chef to try first, who never returned, but not an experience any of our party would want to repeat again for R6000. We pulled the manager over who of course apologised but did nothing, so we paid on American Express and will let them dealwith them. We permanently live here and the food in SA wherever you eat is generally very high quality and exceptional value for money, especially the vineyards. This Vineyard delivered the worst food we have tasted out of all of the vineyard restaurants we have visited.
