The location and view from the room were amazing. Large room and bed, with a balcony facing the mountains. Good breakfast, but not too many options to choose from. Small pool with sunbeds. Cute, extremly friendly cat, Oscar. Gym is small, but good enough, I guess.

We arrived at 1:55pm, check-in is from 2pm. And the staff in the reception made us wait another 15mins, because we arrived too early. I did not appreciate it at all. All the furniture is noisy, as well as the door, which besides being squeaky, also makes loud sounds to confirm you opened it and to notify your door is still open. Which can be good, but not if you want to wait for 10 seconds for the other person to get out of the room and you end up informing the whole.floor about it. Of course nothing is sound proof, so not only did you hear all these noises in your room, but all these noises from your neighbors as well. Each drawer, each door, every move. Eggshells in the omelette every single day. Unbelievable, must be a record! Sauna was "under maintenance" throughout our whole 5 night stay. Of course the price did not reflect the fact that you can't use parts of the facilities they say they offer at booking time. Mini golf course and table tennis exist, but do not look great. We got exactly 0 information about the facilities at check in, so I can't tell if those were "under maintenance" as well. There seemed to be some other restaurant/bar in the garden, but I have not seen it functioning. All in all, pretty pricey for what it offers. Which is basically just a great location.

Spent a wonderful week at this lovely hotel with my best friend at the end of September. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, with being greeted with a dram of Madeira wine on arrival! The location is beautiful with wonderful views of the vale, you do need a car, we were lucky to have a hire car, the only small downside is parking can be limited on an evening but this isn't a deal breaker as there is parking on the street outside. The pool was welcome on a warm day. The bar was good and we ate in the restaurant one evening, you have to book in advance for this as it does get full with being small. Beds were comfortable, room was very clean, fridge in room but no kettle unfortunately. Breakfast was fabulous, with plenty of fresh items daily. I would definitely stay here again, this was my first trip to Madeira and I will definitely be back. I would recommend staying in this area of Madeira to escape the crowds of Funchal, we managed a day trip there. Lovely walks in the area, in the town there is a supermarket and petrol station, bars and restaurants along the seafront. When asked staff also made us a 'picnic' bag of breakfast items for our early morning flight on our final day. Thanks for the lovely stay!

Location, welcome, staff friendliness

Charged for food that we didn’t have. Didn’t realise til afterwards so my own fault.

Kleines Zimmer, die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen (Badewanne + Duschvorhang), angenehmer Pool, freundliches Personal (Arnold ist ein Goldstück), gutes Frühstück - insgesamt haben wir uns wohlgefühlt.

Ich hatte eine fantastische Zeit in diesem Hotel. Es ist aehr idyllisch und ruhig gelegen, dennoch erreicht man in ein paar Minuten den im Ort gelegenen Supermarkt und entlang der Küste einige wohlschmeckende Restaurants.

- Einrichtung 70er/80er Jahre Stil - Nicht ausreichend Parkplätze - Lampen defekt - Kein Personal abends am Empfang - Fenster im Bad lässt sich nicht öffnen - Von draußen schaut jeder direkt ins Zimmer. Also immer Vorhänge geschlossen. - Wollen fürs Wäschewaschen bis zu 4,50 € pro Kleidungsstück. Abzocke!!! - Werben mit Restaurant. Mann muss aber bereits am Morgen vorbestellen. Hat man natürlich insbesondere am Anreisetag nichts davon.

Prima hotel! Fijne plek, mooi uitzicht. Vriendelijk personeel.

La gentillesse du personnel, l’emplacement (joli paysage et calme), hôtel de charme et authentique, petit dej très bon et varié, bonne insonorisation.

Pas assez de places de parking (vous pourriez remplacer le mini golf par un deuxième parking ?) mais il est courant de se garer en plein sur la rue à Madère donc ça s’est bien passé, mobilier un peu vieillissant dans la chambre
