Bayside Resort, an Ascend Collection Resort

It's a pet friendly hotel so that's a bonus on its self. The rooms were clean and tidy they provide a dog bed, dog bowls, dog treats, There was also a fridge and TV with sports channels The staff were all really nice and welcoming too

There are only 2 small draw backs. 1 the outside balcony light stay on all night and couldn't find a switch we asked at the front desk and the maintenance guy said they are all on a dusk till dawn sensor and just to remove the bulb. I just wish they would fit a light unit with a switch as they seemd to stay on during the day also. 2. There is no official walking path to the hotel. You have to walk via the entrance road to get in and out. There is a grassy patch with a fence and gate for access between paradise island(crazy Golf) But it would be nice to have an official pathway to follow with signs.

An ocean view room is 100% worth it, watching the time come in and out from your own bed is so lovely. The restaurant there has lovely staff and great brunch! Walkable to shops, nice very short walk down the beach. Also beautifully kept grounds. I would absolutely stay here again next time I visit Parksville!
