Clean, Good breakfast and good service

Very disappointed in this stay. Run down and dirty. Arrived late at night and we realized we had no hand soap so had to go down to front desk. After trying to figure out pull out couch for our daughter the comforter provided was stained and disgusting so back down we go. Had to clean off nightstands that were dirty. Breakfast was ok but there was no filling of food so if you don’t get there at beginning you don’t get. It just didn’t feel like anyone cared about the guests or the hotel.

Breakfast was good.

The website for Spring Hill Suites in West Des Moines lists that you have a sauna as an amenity and there is not a sauna at the property. That should probably be updated. Also, the exhaust fan in our bathroom did not work.

It was very clean and the stay was friendly

I’m not sure why I was never able to contact the hotel before arriving. I had important questions. The number listed for them wasn’t available, the messages I left through the app of booking.com that goes straight to the property, were never answered. I got tired of trying to reach them not even through emails. So I had to go straight to the hotel when I arrived and was afraid I would have a room … we were able to at least get the room earlier since my plane arrived in the morning. It was great not to have to wait till check in time at least. The building could use some repairs, like the ceiling in our room had cracks in it and I did find any lamps in the sleeping area or light switches on the wall. Just in the bathroom, entryway, and little living room. Other than those minor details it was a pleasant stay.and the breakfast was good they had enough options just no bacon or sausage.
