SpringHill Suites Des Moines West

Dirty, beat up, and mediocre at best. This brand is poorly maintained, weak management and overpriced for what is. SpringHill Suites is Motel 6 grade dog track.

Came to Springhill Suites in Des Moines for a concert and because it was involved with the Marriot chain and believed it would be a good stay. Rented a single king room for two nights. The bed was very hard; the pillows weren’t very useful as pillows. The next morning, housekeeping arrived to clean before we were ready to leave, told them to give us about 10 min and we’d be out. They never did come back…. Later, had to attempt to locate towels as the staff had left for the day. Breakfast was unremarkable the first morning, as there was not much available for the guest and the staff didn’t seem overly excited about restocking. Several guests had to ask for things that should have been already sat out, like plastic ware… The front staff was friendly and as helpful as they could be but housekeeping would not acknowledge a simple ‘hello’ or even give eye contact.

Front desk experience was spot on - Room was very comfortable - It was convenient to shops and restaurants - The breakfast was very good...

Clean room - easy to deal with staff

The stay was ok but definitely nothing special. Most frustrating thing was a billing issue that had me calling multiple times to try to resolve. Most times the calls simply went unanswered. Customer service from the hotel and corporate leaves a lot to be desired. We won’t stay here again.

The staff was very helpful. The room was clean. The amenities were very nice. I would recommend highly.
