Hotel Villa Stanley

We were planning on a room with two beds, one in a loft and the other below as there were 2 couples staying in the room. Turns out it was one queen and two single beds all side by side. Oh well that was fine. Super cool chandelier overhanging the room too The pool wasn't opening until June 1 but we still laid around in the sun, just no swimming and they opened the pool bar for us. There was a wedding at the hotel so the restaurant was closed. We walked for a while and found a soccer (football) field, with a bar so had a couple drinks there and wandered to Aqaba nearby for a great meal. The restaurant at the hotel was pretty highly rated so that was too bad we didn't get to eat there. The wedding welcomed us in and we had a couple bottles of wine with the outdoor party. Overall its a really neat hotel to explore, both inside the hotel itself and the grounds. Its also close to the Florence airport which was hand with us heading there at 5:00AM

Buona struttura immersa nel verde, colazione nella media, Si raggiunge facilmente la fermata bus che ti portano in una ventina di minuti nel centro di Firenze. Peccato per i rumorosissimi vicini di camera cinesi che hanno iniziato a fare baccano alle 6 di mattina.

Check in clerk was less than friendly. Hotel was tired looking and in need of renovation and sprucing up of the grounds. Check out clerk was very pleasant. Close to airport and that’s why we chose it. A good value for our needs.

La struttura é molto bella ma é piuttosto trascurata.... un po' di manutenzione e pulizia lo renderebbero un hotel davvero bello.

Sono uno studente ed insieme alla mia ragazza abbiamo soggiornato in questa graziosa villa due notti in attesa del nuovo anno. L’Hotel Villa Stanley è a soli 6 minuti d’auto dalla stazione di Sesto Fiorentino, comoda per raggiungere il centro storico di Firenze in soli 11 minuti di treno. La struttura, immersa in un grande parco, offre una magnifica atmosfera rilassante. In quella che doveva essere la limonaia dell'antica villa, trasformata poi in hotel, è stato ricavato il ristorante dove gli ospiti dell'hotel consumano la colazione. Essa molto ricca e varia. La nostra camera era ampia e ben arredata con mobili d'epoca e con un soffitto molto alto, meravigliosamente decorato con un artistico lampadario in vetro di Murano. Anche tappeti, specchi, lampade e tendaggi erano tutti d'epoca. Bagno in marmo non molto ampio ma con tutto il necessario. L'unica pecca e stata l'acqua non particolarmente calda nella doccia. Personale gentile e disponibile, da premiare. In sintesi un ottimo soggiorno.

Nice grounds and building but lots of facilities not working. Pool closed in need of repairs

No kettle or coffee in the room as it was expected in 4 star hotel
