Americas Best Value Inn Torrington, CT

Very dated, basic, unwelcoming; unpleasant smell in room. Lobby restroom was out of order. Heat from wall unit went up billowing curtains. "Blanket" was empty duvet cover; went to lobby to request blankets, after 45 mintes returned to lobby to request again. 2 well worn (one with burn hole) were brought to room after appx 5 minutes. Good hot water.

Property is so old, everything’s in the room is old and dirty.

Noisy heat/cool, Only decaf coffee - had to ask for cups, - stingy with the towels, glass rack in bathroom unstable - little place to put toiletries

Nice hotel.

The hotel is old, run down and overpriced. Staff was pleasant but beyond that the rooms were dirty with spots on the pillow cases, linens and towels. I spilled some drink on the floor and when I dabbed it up with a paper towel it was black with dirt from the carpet. Needs a paint job as well. No elevator. Breakfast as minimal as possible. Look for a better place.

felt unsafe as there was daylight under the door, a rat or snake could of gotten in the room. Because of that you could hear alot of outside noise, our second room was full of spiders so my daughters moced to a different room. We move out after the first nite because of these issues. Asked for a refund and we were denied so forfieted $. Would definetly recommend against staying ther. Would like to get a return of my $ I spent for two rooms.

The person at the desk was helpful but seemed annoyed. No problem but then I found my room and there was hair on the pillows, greasy fingerprints all over the microwave and fridge and the window was truly filthy. I didn't feel like dealing with the desk guy again and it was just too dirty for me so I left my key in the room and went home.
