Horrible Review for Lamplighter Inn & Suites (San Luis Obispo, CA) 1/5 Stars - Absolutely Disgusting and Unhygienic – Avoid at All Costs! I booked a room (#204) at the Lamplighter Inn & Suites through Super.com for August 30 - September 1, but the second I opened the door, I was hit with a overwhelming musty/mold smell that made my stomach turn. The room was filthy: blood stains on the floor, stained and dirty bed sheets, a grimy carpet that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years, and even a hole punched in the wooden cabinet. I immediately returned the key without staying a single minute – no way was I risking my health in that biohazard. The front desk (Jerre, I think) admitted no other rooms were available and verbally assured me I wouldn't be charged since I never used the room. But months later, after chasing refunds, the manager flipped the script in a three-way call, claiming all rooms are non-refundable and hanging up abruptly. This place is rundown, poorly maintained, and full of health hazards – stains, mold, and dirt everywhere. It's no surprise other reviews mention similar issues like stained bedding, moldy bathrooms, and general filth. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else in SLO – even a Motel 6 would be cleaner!

The location was exceptional. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

The original room we were in had black mold on the shower curtain. When going to shower, the water was ice cold and would not change temperature. Then the water wouldn’t turn off! had to go down to the front desk and let them know, got moved to another room that was better. The tvs in both rooms only had a few channels that worked, the rest were audio only. when staff was asked they stated they ‘didn’t know if it was supposed to be that way or not’. Very inconvenient

I have stayed here before and had a great experience. I love the price and the location. The staff at the front desk were wonderful as well. :)
