Das Hotel liegt sehr sehr zentral und sehr viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind bei guter Planung gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Frühstücksangebot ist sensationell gut! Das Personal ist sehr höflich und bot uns - aufgrund eines defekten Fernsehers und Zimmer direkt am Aufzug - ein Upgrade auf ein größeres Zimmer ohne Zusatzkosten an. Bushaltestelle ist direkt am Hotel. Fazit jederzeit wieder!

Rien tout était bien

This is a four-star hotel charging approximately €300 per night. Based on our experience, the quality of the facilities and the level of service did not meet the expectations associated with either the room rate or the hotel’s rating. The room air conditioning was excessively noisy. Guests with pollen allergies or asthma may need to switch it off, but opening the window resulted in constant noise from large external machines outside the building. The toilet flushed poorly, with waste frequently remaining in the bowl, while the cistern refilled very slowly, making repeated flushing time-consuming. After reporting the toilet issue in person at reception, we were informed that all rooms experience the same problem, that changing rooms would not help, and that the hotel was fully booked. The suggested solution was to flush more frequently and use the toilet brush. The bathroom ventilation was not functioning. The room air conditioning could not compensate, as the two systems are not connected, resulting in significant humidity in the bathroom. When we later asked for hotel slippers, we were told that disposable slippers are not provided for environmental reasons. During our discussions with reception, staff explained that the hotel is an older building and that a renovation is planned for later this year. While this may explain some of the shortcomings, it did not provide a solution to the issues experienced during our stay. The hotel frequently referred to sustainability and environmental considerations. However, in practice, some of these measures appeared to function primarily as cost-saving initiatives while reducing the level of comfort and basic hygiene that guests may reasonably expect from a four-star property. On every occasion that problems were reported or assistance was requested, no corrective action, alternative solution, room change, or compensation was offered. For a four-star hotel at this price point, this was disappointing.
