The Runnymede on Thames Hotel and Spa

Stayed briefly as was going to Wembley and ticked all the boxes we needed for our stay

Have stayed there many times. It is convenient. Can not believe that the latte coffee is now chargeable and not included in the price of the breakfast. Also we did not no this until we were asked to sign for it about 10 minutes after being served it!

Will be excellent when they finish the renovations.

Very poor customer service in the restaurant. I was pointed at by a waitress when I asked for some help and she walked off. The checkin was a very embarrassing situation as my travelling guests arrived before me and weren’t allowed to checkin until they had paid for the rooms even though it was on a group booking in my name. I then had to spend 20 minutes to get the hotel to refund their cards and use the card that was used for the initial booking. On our second day, it took another 20 mins to locate the rooms we had booked. Checkin staff were rude and dismissive as if it was my fault. I won’t be returning.

The surrounding areas of the hotel is clean, well maintained. Walking along the canal watching the beautiful houses and yacht. Hotel had a Breakfast, Afternoon Tea, Evening Meal lots of exciting choices. All staff very friendly and helpful. The chefs are also helpful about where and how to get to there.

We enjoyed our stay - great rooms

Great Spa excellent for a short relaxing break worth the stay only for it . Restaurant service was great , nice clean room the only negative was the mattress not up to the level of confort expected

Health and safety is spurious with all the building work. Don’t stay there with sensitive lungs due to dust and paint everywhere. Malfunctioning ac in multiple rooms. Food lovely. Bar / restaurant staff generally lovely - especially Miles. Reception staff - unwelcoming

When construction finished should be nice

The hotel is amazing and with glorious weather it’s so nice to sit outside by the river and watch the world go by. The staff each and everyone of them were just fantastic, and nothing was a problem or an issue. Clean and very comfortable. Would highly recommend and would most definitely return. My only issue is if you are staying when Ascot is on and only a couple of you then it works out very expensive if you want a taxi to and from the races. But overall a lovely hotel to chill and unwind. Food also exceptional
