Shandaken Inn

Great experience. Beautiful property.

I had always heard about the Catskills, but had never been before now. Found the Shandaken Inn on an internet search, and wasn't sure if it would be all it seemed to be. it was even better! The property was gorgeous, surrounded by inviting peaks; a large open field, with a swimming pool at one end and several independent cottages at the other, offered a great place for our dog and us to amble; a short nature trail, well maintained, connected to an old railroad bed that was nice to stroll. The main building was beautiful and well maintained, and the interiors of our room and the Inn were rustic without being corny, everything well appointed. The Nevele Suite, was perfect. Entry into a small sitting room with a sofa that converts to a bed (didn't use it) as well as a cart with an electric kettle for tea (beautiful wooden tray, labeled with multiple teas) and a French Press for coffee. The main room consisted of a roomy bedroom with a very comfortable King bed and an open floor plan offered another brighter, bigger sitting area, with a gas fireplace.(easy to operate, We have never stayed a m ore dog friendly place than this-dog towel, dog treats, bowls, dog coverlet for bed and furniture-perfect!Everything we even THOUGHT we might need was available in the room. Katie and Raphael, are top notch professionals and provided perfect service and ready conversation about the area (Raphael was born and raised in the area and could recommend anything. A perfect oasis.

Wonderful get away in the Catskills. The hotel established in 1928 had everything we wanted and more. Beautiful grounds, great views and super friendly people helping in all settings. We felt like family ( in a wonderful way).

This place is by far the best stay I have ever had in my 64 years. Staff is amazing. Breakfast was way beyond expectation. Not just a place to stay, it’s an experience. This place hit the mark.

I have been search for the perfect getaway for the last several years and have finally found it at the Shandaken Inn. The food is delicious. The rooms are clean and cozy. The main house is warm and inviting - and smells amazing! The staff is so kind and knowledgeable about the area. It really is “your home in the Catskills” and I cannot wait to come back!!
