Very helpful friendly family. Small room with nice bathroom, both very clean. Car parking on site. Organised very good safari with breakfast afterwards. Exceptional value for money.

Very nice accommodation, friendly staff. Very clean rooms especially the bathroom. They served us delicious Sri Lankan food. We had been on safari twice in Sri Lanka, but this was our third time in Udawalawe and it was organized by this hotel. They provided us with a young driver with 10 years of experience and knowledge and a jeep. He explained everything about each animal, especially the lifestyle of elephants. This was the best safari we had in Sri Lanka. In fact, organizing the safari with the hotel was the best. Thank you very much for everything. We recommend this hotel and safari to anyone.

The location is great. The family are very kind and accommodating, speaking very good English. I was offered tea on arrival. I ordered breakfast as an extra, which was a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. It was delicious and great value for money. They also offer safari which I didn't take as this stay was a quick connecting stop to another destination. Communication prior to check-in was very easy.

This house is very close to a lake and there are many mosquitos in the area. There is no mosquito net in the room I stayed in. Despite Insect repellent, I was badly bitten, so take precautions if you are prone to mosquito bites. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant stay..

During our recent vacation to Udawalawa, my son and I had the pleasure of staying at the Wildlife Safari House. As my little one is a huge fan of elephants, we wanted to be close to the Udawalawe National Park, and this homestay turned out to be the perfect choice. Located conveniently in the heart of the city, Wildlife Safari House offers budget-friendly accommodation without compromising on comfort. The homestay is run by a lovely local family who went out of their way to make us feel at home. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced our experience, making us feel like part of their family. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring the nearby attractions. What stood out the most was the family’s knowledge and passion for the local wildlife, particularly the elephants. They provided us with excellent tips and even helped us arrange a safari, ensuring we had the best experience possible. Overall, Wildlife Safari House is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Udawalawa, especially if you're traveling with children who love nature. We left with fond memories and a desire to return!

While we enjoyed our stay, there are a few areas that could use improvement. The rooms were quite small, which made it a bit challenging to move around, especially with luggage. Additionally, the facilities could benefit from some upgrades. A hot water shower would be a welcome addition, as it was missing during our stay. Finally, mosquito nets are essential in this area, and it would be great if they were provided in the rooms to ensure a more comfortable night's sleep.

One of the best place I've found. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The room I booked was very nice and clean. And also the bathroom was perfect. Breakfast and dinner were super. They had arranged it nicely. The best thing is the safari. it was amazing and I really enjoyed it.The driver explained everything about animals and other things. Thank you for your hospitality....
