Wildlife Safari House

The jeepsafari was an absolute highlight! The driver knows the park very well and took all the time. He also didn’t go where all the jeeps where, so most of the times we saw the animals all for ourselves! We actually loved the place to stay, with AC and a original bathroom. Breakfast is amazing!

Everything! The family was the kindest and served us amazing homemade Sri Lankan food when we arrived in the evening. They spoke very well English and were interesting in getting to know you, felt like home! Our room was clean, good temperature with ac and the most comfortable bed. We had a really good nights rest here before staring the safari early in the morning which we also booked through this accommodation. You could tell the driver had good experience of the national park and the animals we saw. Two of the family’s children joined us in the safari and the younger boy told us some information about things we saw during the tour which we really appreciated! After safari the breakfast was served when we got back and it was also very good! You get a lot of food, more than you can eat. The accommodation also booked our taxi to mirissa for us after check-out. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Nothing, perfect!

The staff is amazing!! We had 7 aaccomodations in Sri Lanka, but this one was the best! The family gives its best to make sure everything is ok. The dinner and breakfast were incredible - local food prepared by the host. The house is very clean, so are the rooms and bathrooms. They also arranged transport for us, as well as safari trip which was an incredible experience with a very nice man who knew so many things about animals. Totally recommend this accommodation!! You won’t regret it. Best family in Sri Lanka! Not to mention the price which is very very good!!

The best place we visited in Sri Lanka. Everything was amazing. The safari , dinner , breakfast all of things they have arranged really good . Rooms and bathroom are very nice and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this place to anyone.

This place is a winner! Lovely host and a lovely house. So clean and comfortable. We wished we could take the room with us on our travels. Host organised a brilliant safari for us and fed us with a Sri Lankan feast for dinner and breakfast. This place should charge double what they do imo.

The host family are all lovely and very helpful. The safari they organised was great and they even made dinner for us one night which was excellent. The facilities were very modern and clean. Overall I was very comfortable here and had a good time.

The internet is not great but that is to be expected in the jungle and didn't bother me at all.

Breakfast and dinner was delicious. Room was very quiet just off the beaten path. Family were unbelievably nice and accommodating. The oldest boy went on safari with us. We really enjoyed our stay.

Easy to find and well-located, not far from a major intersection and close to shops and restaurants. The family running the hotel is very friendly and communicates well in English. There's an option to order safaris through them, but without any pressure from the owners. The safari we booked through our hosts was excellent—the driver was very attentive, spoke good English, and had a great knowledge of the animals in Udawalawe National Park. We were able to see many species, from the smallest to the largest, including elephants and crocodile, of course. Don't miss the chance to have dinner prepared by the owners—the food is delicious, traditional Sri Lankan cuisine prepared with attention to guests' needs. We were a group with various dietary requirements, and everyone was well taken care of. The breakfast were tasty and varied. The rooms are small but clean, and the bathrooms are also clean.
