Hilton Sanya Yalong Bay Resort & Spa

The best resort in Sanya is where you can see a lot of rainforest in the mountain area also the people are very kind and friendly. the transportation is very easy to find. Some foriegner from europe are also common for business trips and for leisure.

The Hotel is nice but the staff is rude and the manager acted completely wrong. He lied to us about many things and one day he said that we could not go out cause the rain. I cannot understand how he got that job. Do not go to this HOTEL!!!!!

The manager and the breakfast. One day was ok, but every next day the food was less and less and they charged me food that I never order. I had to complain for hours. NOBODY SPEAKS ENGLISH!!!

I don’t like writing bad reviews because it usually clouds good things about the hotel-however in this case I can’t say that is true. First, we called the Hilton Yalong Bay the day of booking and spoke to Manager “Koi” on duty at that time. later that week (1-2 days later we arrived), (July 16/17 booked through Wechat), we were told the beach was in swimming condition and safe for 3/4 year olds. Arrived July 19th (they have airport pick up but didn’t bother sharing that information), we got to the hotel-we played in the pool for most of the day, saw construction happening however our son was fine in the pool so we figured -“go later after his nap”, later after the nap a notice was delivered on paper to each room by a service worker who stated that the beach will be out of service for three hours. In Chinese-no other language available for notice. The next day we decided to make that “the beach day”, after the rain, we headed to the beach where we were stopped at a beach chair barricade and told that the beach is closed and if we choose to disregard and go down now BEFORE construction starts, there is no guarantee we will have access to the hotel from the beach entrance meaning we would need to sneak into the beach entrance of another hotel down the way or leave via public beach access and find our own way back. We decided to go and at least see the finished portion of the beach. We walked down to the water-unfinished, choppy waves (not safe for children), and frankly quite polluted as many dredging ships were going along the coast while backhoe fleets were levelling the section of the beach directly behind Hilton (almost exclusively). Around 4:40pm (10 minutes before I wrote this review we were told the beach is out of commission for the entire day-got notice about beach closure at the next of the day. Nice *insert sarcasm here*. Many upset patrons of the hotel refused to accept that there was no compensation, especially after the rain out of the BBQ Buffet the night before of 398RMB :/ Here I am-writing this as a warning to #stay at the Pullman hotel if you are set on a Yalong Bay resort as they provide golf cart service to the public beach access and offer generally all the same things as the Hilton-the construction is not of Hilton and should not state they know the construction will be done soon as it is public beach. The beach construction has changed the beach into a more aggressive wave beach than what it has been in the past where one could walk pretty far out into the water before getting into swimming depth of the beach (it seems). Recommend checking Haiting as their beach seems to be relatively free of maintenance. For Hilton, I’d suggest compensating with HHonours Points as offering to switch to room to ocean view from garden view is a bit of an annoyance (especially on the last day of the stay), and is bit tarnished by the amount of long arm excavators and dredging boats in the pictures :/ After being told that they would get a flood of bad reviews this month of July they have now offered to upgrade the room free of charge OR extend checkout to 2pm…well, thanks for trying. I am indeed sour as originally we considered the Pullman but the direct access to the beach was specifically why we chose the Hilton. Many people made similar statements. By the way breakfast buffet is bland in flavour, decent selection but the only thing with flavour other than beverages is the bakery selection. 150¥ or whatever it was, I’d only pay 100¥ MAX for what the quality of the flavour they had-snob note, an omelette is not a fried egg wrapped around a sausage XD sorry Hilton. Sincerely disappointed. Better marketing and advertising for the future is what I recommend.

Is was a really good experience. Definitely we will repeat. The staff is really nice and all English speakers, the spa is also good and the beach is nice. The location is great one of the best spots of the island surrounded by a lot of options for dining. The people in the reception helps us with all of our questions, also give us discounts for the spa. Also the guys in the beach are really nice.

The hotel has the most beautiful garden and pool scenery with an amazing look over the ocean that we saw so far. Therefore we had amazing 11 nights in this hotel. Unfortunately there were also a few negative points: - bad quality of the walls, we heard a lot of noise from neighboring rooms - to be improved service quality (e. g. not very professional reception staff) - less choice and high prices in the hotel restaurants

We were here for two nights. As a Hilton diamond member, I received a room upgrade to a beach front room in building #8. Fantastic sea view! This property has different styles of pools such as canal pools, lagoon pool, and children pool. Room was comfortable and functional. Hilton diamond members received free breakfast buffet for two adults per room.

First question, would I stay at the Hilton hotel again? Easy to answer, definitely not! Below I will give my comments why not. I stayed there during Christmas and new year for totally 10 days. First the positive points. The pool is big, clean and the sceneries around are beautiful. The room is big and the cleaning is ok. Now the points which are really disturbed us during the stay and make it not as nice as expected. The breakfast was horrible, first always a very long waiting time infront of the breakfast room. Could be up to 15-20 minutes… During breakfast a lot of food, breakfast equipment (plates, cups, cutlery) not filled up and available. A lot of tables are not cleaned up and not available for new customers. Many customers around are angry about the awful service. On the beach there are for this huge amount of Hotel very few sun lounger. I thing around 30-40 pieced for almost 500 rooms. The AC in our room was not probably working. Specially the breakfast situation and the less possibility on lie down areas on the beach makes my girlfriend and me sure we will not stay at this hotel again.

Great service and swimming pools. Great place to relax. Good restaurants and nice buffet for dinner. also within 10min walking, good food plaza with many options for dinner. Beach is not very big right in front of hotel, but OK

Food was expensive and basic, nothing special for 5 stars hotel. We expected a 5 stars hotel but is missing a training to the staff full of mistakes in service and like we ordered a dish an toke 30 minutes after we ask to tell they don't have. We asked don't disturb because our baby sleeps and they call by phone and knock the door waking up our baby The hotel don't have full access with ramps for stroller and disable people, is necessary a help to go trough stairs and move arrownd Our experience was no good considering the price of the hotel, i will not recommend pay this money for the experience

At the arrival problem started. Most of the staff couldn’t understand English! 5 star hotel? Must be a joke. I booked a sea view room, after long waiting I was assigned a room where you could see the ocean only in your dreams… after long complaining and long waiting they assigned me a new room. During the waiting time, I asked them where they could have a cocktail and they showed me the way to Bar d’Or, the funny thing is that was around 15.30 and that bar was opening business at 18.00!!!…. Then I asked them and they showed me in the lounge a bar where I could ask for a cocktail.. the list was short so I asked them if they had ingredients to make a Negroni .. well, I was surrounded by FIVE guys and no one of them could understand when I was asking them if they had the spirits needed to make a Negroni…. The day after at the pool bar. Same story, two guys could only say “ ting bu dong “ and one of the guys in charge of safety in swimming pool could help me out. Forget about this place. There are better options in Yalong Bay
