Conrad Indianapolis

So we checked in on Friday night, Saturday morning at around 9 a.m we were woken up by hammers, saw, chisels and the sound of a very loud work crew. The hotel knew this was going to be going on and still placed us right next to this bull crap. We contacted the front desk and they said, sorry we are at full capacity but we can send someone up and ask if they can quite down. So basically make it so the hammers aren’t as loud?! Oh, and the super helpful person at the front desk said, oh! They stop at five! We came up to take a nap and can’t even do that because this joke of a hotel has a construction crew on a Saturday when they are at full capacity. Four hundred dollars a night to stay in Indianapolis… Indianapolis and this crap hotel has construction going on! Monday through Friday I could understand, because if you are coming in for business you’re more than likely gone before 9 a.m. if your coming in for a concert and you want to enjoy your time on the weekend but you can’t because they have saws, hammers, god knows what else, and you can’t, that’s a joke. Stay elsewhere!

I stayed one night at the Conrad Indianapolis on a Priceline deal, and everything went very smoothly. The front desk staff were fantastic—professional, friendly, and efficient. That said, I wasn’t quite prepared for how traditional and dated the decor is. Think Pretty Woman era—Richard Gere and Julia Roberts would feel right at home here. All that was missing was a 1992 black Cadillac limo idling out front with a bag phone in the back seat. The style leans heavily into 1990s luxury, and much of it appears original—including the carpeting, which is definitely due for a refresh. The pool was packed with families and kids during the weekend, so it’s more of a splash zone than a serene retreat. On the bright side, free coffee in the lobby each morning was a nice touch. Bottom line: If you score a good rate or need to be in that location, it’s a decent place to crash. But if you're craving something sleek, modern, or recently updated, you may want to look elsewhere.

Great place to stay if you are going to an event downtown. Very easy to walk to restaurants and they even have a Mall next door if you want to go shopping. The staff is very helpful and do all they can to ensure you have the best stay. They make helpful recommendations in the area.
