"No Complaints!"

10.0

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The resort is immaculate and sprawling, which we loved. It never felt too crowded and there was so much green space all around, which was so beautiful. We really got to enjoy the flora and fauna of the area. Lastly, but definitely not least, I can’t say enough good things about the staff there. We’ll definitely be coming back!

"Great Staff, Poor Organization – We Never Felt Special"

4.0

We stayed at Grand Palladium Kantenah for a wedding, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected. Wedding Planning Problems The resort changed our wedding coordinator three times without notifying us. We only found out because emails started bouncing back, saying the previous coordinator’s email no longer existed. This caused unnecessary stress and confusion during an already busy time. Communication was extremely poor. It was a constant struggle to get answers from the resort, and our wedding guests complained that it took up to two weeks for the hotel to respond to emails, making planning very difficult. Problems During Our Stay We were promised an “upgrade” to our room, but the upgrade turned out to be a downgrade in many ways. The new room was smaller, the bathroom was cramped, the closets were smaller, and the safe didn’t work. The only difference was that it was in a “nicer area,” which was far away from our guests—making it inconvenient. The front office staff was defensive and rude when explaining the so-called upgrade. Their attitude felt dismissive, and at times, they gaslighted us instead of acknowledging the problem. Maintenance issues were ignored. For example, the broken safe was never fixed during our stay. The distance from our guests made it harder to enjoy the wedding experience as a group, which was one of the main reasons we chose this resort. Even though we were the bride and groom, not a single moment did we feel special being there to celebrate our big day. This was the most disappointing part of all. While the property itself is beautiful, these organizational and service issues overshadowed everything else. If you’re considering this resort for a wedding or special event, I strongly recommend confirming every detail in writing and being prepared for delays and miscommunication. Despite these issues, the ceremony and reception themselves were beautiful, and the staff working those events were outstanding. They were attentive, friendly, and truly did their best to make the day enjoyable for everyone. Their professionalism and warmth were the highlight of our experience.

"Wonderful holiday but rooms need some attention"

8.0

Honest review pros and cons of this beautiful resort! Pros The hotel grounds are nothing short of spectacular with amazing wildlife and lush well kept greenery all around. The pool and facilities are fantastic with plenty of sun beds- no issues finding a sun bed even when hotel very full! The beach is perfection like a picture postcard, yes there is some seaweed but you are at the beach, this didn’t spoil anything for us and the hotel make every effort to clear this daily. The spa is wonderful, we had a couples massage and it was very good, we then used the spa facilities and gym and these are really good! The staff at this hotel are wonderful, so kind and eager to help whenever they can- such lovely people, really made our stay! Cons Deluxe garden view rooms are not really deluxe, no additional special extras. There is shampoo and shower gel in dispensers but it’s cheap, watery rubbish so definitely bring your own. The balcony was unusable because it was in complete shade from the overhanging trees and lots of staining on all surrounding walls, so not very nice to sit out. The room also smelt very damp, probably because there is no daylight entering room, we didn’t spend much time there as it felt depressing. The food is very mixed, buffet was good and some al a cartes were good and others were really not great, the Italian was a real let down. We emailed the hotel pre arrival to request high floor rooms with a view and king bed, none of this was acknowledged and Tui also ignored our special requests. Overall we had an excellent holiday but I wouldn’t return as white sands is set to have reduced access for regular paying guests in the new year, there won’t be much choice then for guests who aren’t paying the additional premiums.

"Best time at Grand Palladium"

10.0

Lovely staff members, good quality food. The options for dinner reservations were good as well:) Our favourite was Bamboo, the Asian restaurant and Egidio (the waiter) was so sweet and lovely that we had to go a second time for his graceful hospitality. Dinner reservations usually appear for 2 days in advance - be quick to book in the morning! The only one experience that left a bad taste in our mouths was the Travel Club presentation that they pull you in for stating it’s an hour’s worth. We lost 3 hours to this and they were not taking no for an answer and asking us to pay an upfront of $8000 without any guarantee/ and with just an explanation of club which I have to take a loan out for as the initial down payment was the 8k and the total would come out to be 22k to paid over 20 years - my husband asked if we would be alive/where would we be 20 years later. Why would I do that? At the end, they kept reducing it to a 5 year plan and then a 2. We got keychains in exchange for the 3 hours HILARIOUS. Everybody else at the hotel, from the waitstaff to the people at the concierge and cleaner staff were impeccable and so very kind. I would return for them! The food was great, pool and room always clean.

"Great first experience, however I doubt we'd return"

8.0

Overall it was good. The resorts beautiful and the wild life was a major plus. However the food got very repetitive and the beach was really rough.. went too the beach 2 times and both times my partner and I left with cuts from all the rocks in the water. Maybe that's on us for going when it the waves were moderate however after 5 minutes of being tossed around and cut up we gave up. Luckily the main pool with the swim up bar was great so we spent 90% of our time there

"Amazing time at the Palladium resort in Tulum"

10.0

Pilar and Lori at the kids club are amazing! They do an incredible job playing with the kids all day and loving on them. Today they did a performance in front of a large crowd and practiced with our kids. They made them look like stars. What a great experience! Peyton and Jackson had so much fun!
