Grand Hotel Vesuvio

hotel in an amazing position, lovely staff, maid service excellent, pool area great. If you are travelling with Jet2 definitely DON’T book trip to amalfi/positano trip by sea, it’s a con, what is really is is a lift to port, dumped there, given 3 public ferry tickets sorrento- positano-amalfi-sorrento and lift home! We could have done this trip ourselves much cheaper but thought going with Jet2 you’d get some sort of guide (this is what we were led to believe) After speaking to other guests we should have booked with hotel it was a little bit cheaper and there were only 50 max passengers in the boat, they also stopped at various points to point out places of interest, We booked the pompeii/herculaneum trip with hotel and it was fab, fully recommend.

O Hotel é enorme. Deve ter sido grandioso no passado, mas, hoje, é bem decadente. Os funcionários, principalmente os garçons, não são atenciosos e bem treinados. Enfim, pelo custo-benefício, acho que não vale.

Breakfast was good. The restaurant is quite nice with a lovely view.

Beautiful view of the bay of Naples from the Hotel. The shuttle to and from town was excellent allowed us to visit town for ahopping/dinner without the addrd expense of a cab fare each way. Pool and service was excellent...we will be back.

Staff was great. Super helpful. Nice location. Hotel is a bit old but nice. I felt that it was not clean.

Where can I start? Everything about this hotel was amazing, the staff the food, everything! We were half aboard and the food was a sit down menu but every night was lovely! If you didn’t have dinner you could swap it for lunch, and again the options were plentiful and food was delicious! The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do ending to help you! The location is about a 10/15 min walk, however there’s a complimentary bus that runs very often. The rooms are very big and spacious and the maids come round everyday to clean them. We were worried the rooms might be stuffy but they had stock that kept them nice and cool! Will definitely come back! Favourite hotel and hotel by far!
