Beautiful rooms and ambience

Special old world inn. Gorgeous and comfortable. Everything a modern hotel has that I like (great bed, mini fridge, coffee in the room, tv, great water pressure that is super hot) without all the stuff I hate (synthetic everything, blown hot air heat, gross smelling toiletries, noisy roadside locations, ugly furniture). As an incredible added bonus, the restaurant is exceptionally good. Wooded, quiet location. No staff at night, if that matters to you. The rooms are huge, much bigger than they look on the photos. This may seem like a small thing, but I have been staying in a lot of the area hotels in the past year as I help a family member, and I had at least 15 overnights during the colder months where my sleep was wrecked by the noisy, super dry blown air heat that is ubiquitous in modern hotels. I loved that the Kittle Inn had cast iron radiators. This is the only place I'm staying from now on. Surprised how affordadable it is, with price similar to a Comfort Inn, and in an entirely different league. Absolutely love it!

Crabtree Kittle House is my favorite place to stay when in Westchester County. Always a pleasure. Excellent staff. Excellent service. Delicious food and a varied menu. I call Kittle House my mini vacation stay.

Lovely and cozy inn with large and comfortable rooms. Restaurant was relaxing and quiet with excellent food and very attentive service. Staff were uniformly friendly and professional.

We were excited to find a place that was central to places we were going on our stay. First the staff is very very aloof. Very factual not a pleasant welcome. Our room was comfortable and spacious but the acoustics are awful. The first night we were there we were awakened early by kids above us running around above us and being loud. We had dinner there one night and the food was good but again the service was not friendly. Our waiter kept lingering wanting us to order and it was uncomfortable. Breakfast was beyond disappointing. We expected something a little nicer. there were prepackaged cereals and instant oatmeal. The homemade yogurt and fresh fruit was good but were put on the buffet table in very small bowls and when it was gone there was no one around to refill the table. We expected perhaps croissants or scones but here was just like an Italian bread to toast, apple pie which we suspect was left over from the dinner menu the night before, and small pieces of a bread pudding which were't very good. The lady who was on duty in the breakfast area was again very unfriendly. We stayed 2 nights and when we checked out we were never asked how our stay was or thanking us for staying there. Although the location was perfect for us, we would not go back again.

Unique rustic charm and sophistication. Large, lavish room. Excellent kitchen, bar and wine cellar. Fine continental breakfast if you're not rushing off in the predawn hours.

Excellent staff! Delicious food where the staff is always accommodating. Staying overnight in this historic inn. Doing my happy dance!

Beautiful place . Room felt cozy and spacious. Great restaurant

We were at the Inn for a 70th birthday party . We decided to stay the night at the Inn. Good decision!! This is an historic inn with all the history on the wall, in the bar, and in the architecture of the inn. We had a comfortable king bed in a large room. The buffet breakfast was excellent with great coffee, homemade granola, fresh fruit salad and muffins. Very nice staff greeted us for check in and check out. Very nice visit Jay

The property was loud and dirty hadn’t been cleaned in a while and the walls were so thin you could hear everyone walking by the room and we happened to be above the kitchen and it was super noisy
