Hotel Zentrum

The hotel is a 10 minute walk at most from the train station. As with most train stations, the area is rather grimy, but the hotel is better than it might appear from the outside. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. No AC. Opening the windows should do it but it took time at summer temperatures. The front desk could have done with a bit more language fluency--could not find names without seeing them written. The breakfast buffet was half what you'd see at other hotels, e.g. no eggs. The place is just fine for staying overnight while in transit.

Overall location is good. Short walk to Frankfort old town and it's traditional German restaurants, as well as to much shopping (large, modern mall across the street, with boutiques in the area) and many non-German restaurants. Hotel is located on 3rd floor of a building, just above a store, so you must take an elevator or stairs up to the reception desk. Interior of rooms were nice, recently re-done in an industrial-type decor, and much nicer than the exterior of the building. Parking is a bit of an inconvenience, as we parked at the Kaiserplatz area, which is about a 5-8 minute walk from the hotel. Wifi worked very well, and was free of charge. Good location, comfortable hotel, and I would recommend.

We loved the hotel. First of all, we booked this place because the rating was great and the price was very reasonable, given the location of the hotel right in the middle of the city. Check-in was very pleasant - the owner apparently took care of the check-in and check-out. The room is new and well-designed, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was great. We really liked the hotel and said that to the owner many times. It's really simple, yet very cosy. Highly recommended!

No coffee/tea maker in the room

The room location is the best part. The room was very small & simple. It was clean, but there was a faint smell of smoke and stains on the curtains. It was perfectly fine for the one night I needed a place, however the hair dryer didn't work so I had to leave with wet hair because they could fine a replacement anywhere. My biggest issue is that there was no airport shuttle like is advertised here on Hotels.com. I'm not sure if that's the hotel's fault or Hotels.com that this is advertised in error, but it was the main reason I booked this place the night before I flew out, so I was very disappointed.

The location was perfect for our visit to Frankfurt - we could walk everywhere! The breakfast was included and great - something for everyone including scrambled eggs and pancakes. Finally, I can't say enough about the staff, particularly Nick, who helped us retrieve an item we left in the hotel room. Nick had great communication via email. He located the item, packaged the item and held it until we could get things coordinated to have it picked up by UPS to be sent back to us in the US.

The location is great, and I could easily walk to the cathedral, shopping centers, Christmas market and restaurants. The only issue was that my shower seemed to be missing a door and the lighting in the room was dim. Otherwise the staff was excellent and the hotel seemed quite secure.
