Club Wyndham Sedona

This is a marvelous area to visit, hike, educate, and enjoy good people and food. Scenery is one of a kind. We always wanted to visit and hike the Red Rock area, but this was better than hoped for. We stayed a week at Wyndham and it was close enough to take a full day trip to the Grand Canyon. Wyndham has a nice property in Flaggstaff, but Flaggstaff isn't Sedona. We're coming back.

The resort needs some updating

Our main travel to Arizona was to see Grand Canyon. We were not able to find a resort in Flagstaff which is much closer to GC and had to book a resort in Sedona. That turned out to be a great. Sedona is a beautiful place to stay.

2 Bedroom unit was big enough for 2 couples to stay comfortably and good location, close to everything. Not enough activities for guests at the resort, it offered a lot more previously, but it's ok, not a big deal. Nice longer weekend stay for us and our friends.

We have been waiting for this trip for 6 months. My wife suffers from Muscular Dystrophy so we always checkin early and ask to be placed near a pool or with a great view because some days are down days and we don’t leave the room if she does not feel well. Well we were told we checked the wrong box so we don’t get a balcony, we don’t get a kitchen, we don’t get a view, and we have a pretty good hike to the pool. Butt they did smile at us while they were telling us . The room is what I would call an efficiency , it has a tiny kitchenette3ft x6ft with a tiny stove and a tiny refrigerator. It is so small we dont even have a trash can ,we are using the kitchen sink until I go but trash bags. The concierge Was nice but would not stop with the timeshare hustle. I informed her we were already owners and WOW she turned up the heat. She must have tried to get us to do the timeshare hustle 5 times in 10 minutes . Finally she reached me and frustrated I walked away. So this is a nice looking place but most rooms do not fit into the resort category . The pool is ok but small . The location is amazing but mont rooms look at the parking lot, I know ours does.but there is no baloney so only if I look out the tiny window that has neighbors walking by it . Also it looks like there are only a few grills so we are stuck trying to make our ribeye steaks on our tiny stove . In the property’s defense the tiny little room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Don’t get fooled like I did stay somewhere else. The hot tub/ spa was broke down almost our entire stay. When we asked about it we were told to call management and handed a business card. HAHA well I guess they didn’t think I would call but I called from right there and the front desk answered . I asked for the Mannager and the employee walked about 10 ft and opened a door right behind him and got the mannager. SHE WAS RIGHT THERE! When I complained about the hot tub being out for days I was told I was out of control . From there things just got worse. All that being said , It is a well placed hotel that calls it self a resort in a great town. The employees are all brainwashed to just take all your money and your not to expect them to provide what you paid for. Tim OBrien

Loved the room - it was large & roomy, very clean. Wished it had a balcony or outside sitting area. Pool was not as clean as it should be & the water was cold. Jacuzzi not warm enough. Overall we loved our stay. 😀

Clean and peaceful

We were guests of Club Wyndham owners, and have been to many of their properties. The staff at this location were top-notch, offering some great local tips without being over the top with the sales pitch. The location is super-central to Sedona, with everything minutes away. We used this as our home base and made day trips to the Grand Canyon and Page. It was also nice to spend the day around Sedona and do some local trails and attractions. Great shopping and some nice restaurants nearby. There's a grocery store with a Starbucks across the street, along with a McDonalds in the parking lot and a donut shop in the same center. The restaurant on the corner from Wyndham has great food and a low-key vibe. We enjoyed our stay here, although we stayed so busy that we weren't able to take advantage of all of the amenities nor were in the room much.

I booked Club Wyndham Sedona a month ahead. One day before the check in date, I received a message from Booking.com that my reservation was being cancelled because of "overbooking" by Club Wyndham. Club Wyndham suffered no penalty from Booking.com for this anti-consumer practice; hotels like Club Wyndham can overbook without paying any penalty, while customers who don't show up are penalized most if not all their room rate. Moreover, Booking.com reneged on its email representation that the extra cost of the last second replacement they offered would be reimbursed. Shameful.
