No esperaba una experiencia tan extraordinaria. El hotel es bellísimo. Todos los detalles son cuidados. La ubicación dentro del parque te permite visitar las cataratas sin gente y poder disfrutar un lugar tan mágico. Incluso tuvimos un tour nocturno con la luz de la luna a las cataratas....de verdad algo único. La comida es riquísima en ambos restaurantes, pero el menú de degustación del restaurante "Y" es de los más rico que he comido. Todo el personal era muy amable. La decoración es elegante y sobria. No le falto nada.

What an experience. A huge thank-you to the team at Hotel das Cataratas, especially Verônica at reception and Caique at Y Restaurant. You both made our stay feel that little bit more special through your kindness, warmth and genuine conversations. We love meeting people from all over the world and being able to connect & share stories like this really meant a lot to us. Now, onto the hotel itself.. Absolutely amazing in every aspect. The grounds are spotless & beautifully maintained - from the gym & pool area to the buffet breakfast and rooms. You can really see the level of care and pride the staff take in maintaining the property. The rooms were incredibly comfortable, with very clean bathrooms and everything you need for a relaxed & easy stay. After over a month of travelling, it genuinely felt like a home away from home, which was so appreciated. And the views… absolutely breathtaking. There’s honestly nothing to fault. If you’re considering staying here because of the falls, just do it - it’s worth every cent. Having direct access to the park, shuttle service and the ability to explore so easily made everything seamless. We also loved borrowing bikes and riding through the area it was one of the highlights of our stay. Y Restaurant deserves a special mention. If you’re staying, make sure you book a dinner there. Ask for Caique his service was outstanding. He was attentive without being intrusive, took the time to explain each dish and added such a warm, personal touch to the experience. We ended up having great conversations and learning about each other’s lives, which made the evening even more memorable. Overall, an unforgettable stay in every way. Highly recommended.

One small thing to note (nothing to do with the property itself) on arrival, our debit cards didn’t work on the POS system as it seems to only accepts credit cards - there were another guest having the same problem as us at the time. The hotel does have an ATM on site, so it was easy enough to withdraw cash and resolve it. Just something to be aware of for check-in - make sure you have a credit card handy or cash, as I normally travel using debit cards (ING and a few others), this was the first time I’ve had all of them not be accepted at a merchant terminal. Interestingly, they worked at their other property, Copacabana Palace, so it may just depend on the terminal setup.
