Villa Margaridi

Villa Margaridi is absolutely superb and you MUST stay here if coming to Guimaraes. Jose and Hugo were so welcoming and the added touches of a garden tour followed by a bottle of wine afterwards on our first night and the pre dinner port wine on our second night were an added surprise and very much appreciated. Thank you for our wonderful stay.

De sfeer, de prachtige verhalen over de geschiedenis van het mooie Portugal door de gastheer. De attenties, de prachtige studio's met oog voor detail. De zeer mooie onderhouden tuin en heerlijk zwembad.Dank voor het aangename verblijf en de mooie gesprekken. Een toast op de gastheer en het enthousiaste personeel.

A stay at Villa Margaridi is very relaxing. It's a beautiful estate within walking distance of the old town. It has a range of self catering accommodation., each with access to the swimming pool set in historic gardens. The owner, Jose, cannot do enough to make the most of your stay. The estate has been in his family for centuries. Aided by his right-hand man, Hugo, the fridge is kept topped up daily with breakfast bits and fresh bread and croissants and if you're lucky a complimentary tea-time drink.

Unfortunately, there was a technical problem with the hot water supply to our unit that could not be fixed quickly. But Jose resolved the matter by upgrading us to another unit equipped with a spa.

Breakfast was so abundant, and the hosts were amazing

Creaky bed and floorboards, but this was a small issue after the first night.

This was a great location in an old family estate with exceptional hosts. I appreciated the privacy, the pool and the fresh bread!

Lovely villa in a beautiful setting. Felt like you were far away from the busy towns. Great facilities and Jose was the perfect host.
