The bed was comfortable and the shower hot and easy to adjust

The building had a very tired appearance. The staircase creaked (not great for a night's sleep), one of the bedroom windows had no curtain and did not shut completely. No food available (especially breakfast). At £133 for the room, this was poor value.

Worrying check in. We had advised time of arrival only to find inner door locked and we had not received a door code. There was a framed info on the side that stated reception is closed this evening but to ring a number if any problems. We spoke to a lady on the phone who gave a door code. Once in - all was deserted. We rang the reception bell. Finally decided we had to ring the lady again. As we were talking to her on the phone again - another lady came hurrying down the stairs full of apologies. This is not what you need after a days travelling - very unprofessional

If you stay in room 15, I hope they have changed the mattresses. You could feel the springs through all three. Absolutely stunned that the hotel was still using them and expecting anyone to sleep on them. Pillows could be improved as well. Otherwise clean hotel, good bathroom, nice shower etc.

I liked how clean the hotel was and the staff was also great

I could have done with an extra pillow, but thats just my preference.

We did not have the room I booked ie superior and were given a small room with a small bed. After a long wait we were given a slightly larger room and bed. Staff were friendly but incompetent and not there most of the time. No sense of security.

Having read reviews (after booking) i wasn't looking forward to visit but was pleasantly surprised. Room was fine, bathroom is small but ok. TV offered prime & Netflix which was good. Village pubs don't offer food on Sunday night but kebab shop & Chinese options available. 3 pubs with food remainder of the week. Not sure if room service was offered but bin was never emptied or condiments not resuplied. Desk was manned so could have asked if required 🙄 Use again..... yes. Evening walks.... excellent
