The room in which we stayed had a strange smell perhaps the carpet. The smell hit you upon walking in the room. We also had chosen this location as we wete told and it showed on their website that there was a heated pool and hot tub. Upon arrival we learned there was NOT a hot tub even though the sign said pool and spa in addition to the pool being cold and not clean. We were very disappointed as these were top priorities for selecting this property. I was also displeased with having to pay for parking on alot belonging to the hotel and breakfast was also a fee(too expensive)

The facility was clean and welcoming. We stay at Garden Inns when traveling so that we don’t have to go out for dinner after a long day on the road. Their in house restaurants are generally all the same with decent food throughout the chain. This was not the case here. The server told us they were out of chicken nuggets, which was fine. My husband ordered steak and a Caesar salad and the server said, “Oh we don’t have steak, I don’t know why it’s still on the menu.” I ordered the chicken dish that comes with grains. She said, “It comes with mashed potatoes, is that alright?” I said, “No, I’ll have the Veggie Primavera.” I’ve had it many times before and enjoyed it. This came with green beans, yellow beans, and carrots, and were certainly not roasted. Whatever green stuff was sprinkled on top was either very stale dried basil with no taste, or dried parsley. Not what I was expecting and not very good. Disappointing.

The fire alarm went off at midnight, for which the facility is probably not directly responsible. However there were younger guests on the floor that were noisy, but we were able to get to sleep. However after the alarm went off at midnight the noise was very very noticeable. It was after 1:00am and I did notify the front desk of the problem. The situation was quickly remedied, but a good night of sleep and rest was impossible.
