Van der Valk Volendam

Overall the stay was okay, disappointed that the hotel advertised a tennis court facility but when I asked where it was one staff member said its down the hall to the left, and the other said we no longer have it? Which was rather confusing. We arrived early and were expected to wait until 2pm for our room to ready. At 2.30pm when asking if we could check in, we were told they have no idea when the room will be ready as " they don't clean the room so we can't tell you". The checkin lady was rather inconsiderate and had a unhelpful tone in her voice. The waitresses at the restaurant weren't polite at all and took ages for them to take our order. They had about 4 people who were dinning at the time.

Very pleasant stay. Comfortable and spacious room with a balcony and relaxing view. Good breakfast, not that much pleased with dinner but still over average. Definitely will come back.

Very comfortable and welcoming - The location was convenient. The rooms were spacious and the staff were very accommodating.

All round clean and quiet, centrally licated, bus stop to Amsterdam and Volendam in front of door. Breakfast really pricey at 13 Euro.

We stayed at the end of our holiday .. the room was very spacious and comfortable and the bed even big enough for me and I’m nearly two metres tall.. location is ideal for visiting Volendam and Edam and a short bus trip to Amsterdam ..food at the hotel was superb and the staff are excellent Will definitely stay again

Prime location for Volendam and short commute to Amsterdam. Close to public transport, hotel staff happy and friendly, food in the on site restaurant was stunning ! Rooms clean with modern decor and fabulous views across the hotel site. Highly recommend and will be visiting again.

Very nice hotel in picturesque Volendam, helpful staff, and frequent bus link to Amsterdam makes it a good option for exploring Amsterdam and the surroundings!

Great food dinner and breakfast. Best value in Netherlands. Ten euro for bus ticket for unlimited travel for the day. Cheaper to eat at hotel than AMSTERDAM OR Volendam. Better quality as well. Wish I had found fthis out earlier. Make sure you get the breakfast with room deal you will not be disappointed. Only 15 minute ride into Amsterdam and buses run every 15 minutes.

One of the receptionists was fantastic. She told us all about the nearby areas and explained all the options we have to visit Amsterdam. We visited Edam, Volendam and Amsterdam. All of which are a short drive by car. The restaurant staff are ok, nothing special.

Dairy farms all around. Bewtifull strip of shops and food next to water only minutes away with car or bysicle.
