Days Inn by Wyndham Winona

I stayed for 9 days. The room was very quiet, clean, and comfortable. The owners are kind and helpful. The weekly room rate was very affordable. When I return to Winona, I will always stay here.

Super 8 and Days Inn have been some of the most entertaining hotels to ever had the misfortune to deal with. Never had a bad time in a hotel till weird stuff became nightmares. At first the shower handle fell off. Ha! It was a giggle at first. Whatever they were cute quirkS But when we went to take our service dogs out to potty (we were never told service animals don’t pay. They won’t reimburse us. Basically no effort.. The gentleman who works there is sketchy, rude and hard to talk to. Everyone we tuned around, he was just kinda staring, and near our rooms: But his wife is an absolute doll! She is way to approach, listen and tries to help. Gorgeous woman inside and out. She alone would be excellent promotion to bringing more people but I feel his customer service skills need updated. I feel off put having to talk to him if there is issues. He makes excuses and brushes off issues f (as someone who grew up and worked in human services their whole life starting nine paying jobs as kid. I would not hire him for my businesss. Nor even wanna try to recommend him if he were to need one.) When we came back from taking our dogs out, we kept finding our door open each time. Nothing was taken but rest assured we double check the door is closed and locked. Nothing was stolen but it made us a little paranoid. One of us had to stay in the room. We had a stay where we came anf our lock on the door was broken. My boyfriend requested it fixed. “They fixed it” next time we locked it, the lock broke again. So I had to set security up. I kept watch not trusting th standard lock now. Our last trip was horrible. We orders a king room. King bed. By this point they should have known who we were. We were given a tiny room, full bed. And because we are both disabled with needing movement too , we were not able to sleep in the bed. We were so exhausted from lack of sleep we passed out and ended up leaving late. I slept through my three alarms in the chair. We slept elsewhere and stayed for free food and a hot shower. The gentleman at the front desk refused to help us. Brushed us off, didn’t suggest anything to ease the situation. Not even suggesting paying more for a new room or anything. Again the looks we got from him felt like he was watching us. I couldn’t handle how he didn’t even try. Being in customer service, I’m resilient to a lot of issues that can come up. But I realise why they don’t have many guests in the parking lot. I feel bad for the wife. She could easily make the place thrive. So patient, helpful. I always tried to wait if we needed something, to wait till she was on shift. But Shoot didn’t even need reimburse. That’s not what we were looking for .but some sort of effort at all would have made my tired, in pain, self feel better. We could not fit in the bed together and he didn’t give a turd. there should be a policy for residents to protect us for negligence. . Being disabled, made struggles worse. We were forced to sleep in our car. In the cold. We hardly slept so we were wasted money to which I even got insurance for the room. What was th point? Don’t waste your money on instance. Not even hot water, hole in the doors, the window was open when we arrived which was open enough for someone to climb. The breakfast was suitable. Hot food, every morning. Simple but very good. Always given a warm greeting by the woman running the place on the mornnng made a bad night a little better: if I could, he would get one star. She deserves a five. The fifth for being polite; respectful, warm, and accommodating. But that hotel itself, probably should have health and safety have an updated look. Too much safety concerns that need fixed. We will not be returning. We feel like we are Being watched, our hearts gone in the room was off he dial and just bad sense it might be bugged Aka cams. We got suspicious results from our scanner. and the attitude the male at the desk has, low class rude. Forgive such a horrible way to describe a place with potential, but there’s a point one can’t endure anymore of it. We got screwed over for paying for a toon we couldn’t even use shower was cold.. Inexcusable

For $168, the room size was very small. No coffee maker. Days Inn also charged me $15 for my geriatric, well-behaved dog. Airbnbs are a much better value and dollars stay in the community. Lesson learned.

I usually ate breakfast out but next time I will try the waffles. They smelled very good!

We were mostly in our room only to shower and sleep so at this time everything was fine.

The hotel was very clean, staff was friendly, great selection for breakfast, and some of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in while traveling.
