"Disappointing experience and avoid if you are a person of colour"

I am extremely disappointed with our stay at this hotel and would not return. From the moment we arrived, we did not feel welcomed. As people of colour, the attitude from staff was noticeably cold and dismissive, particularly at reception and in the restaurant. This was not a one off interaction but a consistent feeling throughout our stay. If you are a person of colour, I genuinely do not believe this is a place where you will feel comfortable or welcome. The first room we were given had a serious health and safety issue. Every time the shower was used, water flooded the entire bathroom floor and spread around the sink, creating a dangerous slip hazard. This was especially alarming as we were travelling with our autistic toddler. I reported this to reception immediately and asked to be moved, but the response was dismissive and we were told we would have to wait until the next day, despite the obvious risk. Later that afternoon, I returned to reception with photos clearly showing how unsafe the situation was. Only after showing this evidence were we finally moved to another room. It should never take repeated complaints and proof for a clear safety issue to be taken seriously, especially when a child is involved. The restaurant staff were consistently unwelcoming and made us feel uncomfortable every time we dined there. The only positive experience we had with staff was Katya from housekeeping. She was genuinely kind, warm, always smiling, and did an excellent job cleaning the room. She was the only staff member who treated us with basic friendliness and respect. Overall, this hotel completely failed to meet even basic hospitality standards. We left feeling unwelcome, unheard, and uncomfortable. I would strongly advise people of colour to avoid this hotel. Based on our experience, it is not a place where you will feel respected or valued as a guest.

"RH PRINCESSA"

This was my second visit. My first was December 2024 and again I was not disappointed. From check in I received a room upgrade as well as paying to upgrade to the Gold all inclusive package well worth the 8 euros per day. Food drink and entertainment were top notch couldn’t falter. My friend also accompanied me this time on my recommendation and he also had an upgrade room along with purchasing the gold all inclusive upgrade and he also enjoyed his stay. The only negative I can say is the waiting staff in the bar area weren’t as switched on as last year but this is a slight fault. Which when brought to their attention did try to improve. I enjoyed my trip so much I’ve rebooked for the same time next year and as a previous travel agent this should show how good a hotel this was

"Great hotel in Benidorm"

Excellent hotel, very handy for the old town , supermarket , bus stops and a reasonable walk to the tram station. We were given a room overlooking the pool on the 10th floor and it was delightful. The shower was quite powerful and there was always plenty of hot water. The staff took great pride in their work and the hotel was very clean . Every member of the staff we met was friendly and helpful but also great at the job they were doing. I am allergic to a couple of basic foods and they helped me and even offered to buy in specialist foods ! The food was excellent and plenty of choice even for me ,so much so that this is the first time I have ever put weight on while on holiday. Very comfortable beds , sleep quality good. Little noise from the neighbours but not much. rooms well maintained and recently decorated. Excellent value for money will be booking this hotel again. Well managed and welcoming hotel.

"Exceeded expectations"

It’s not very often that I leave a 5 star review but the RH Princessa warrants it. The views from our room are amazing, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the location is excellent. The food is at the top end of what you get in a Spanish hotel and the rooms are great.

"Disappointing single room"

Have stayed in Princesa , as a couple , several times between 2013 and january 2020, and always enjoyed it here. This time travelling as a single, and still in hotel. The single room, for which I had to pay a supplement, is not up to the standard I would expect from a 4star hotel. Situated at back of hotel with no balcony and no sun at this time of year, window has no curtains , only a roller blind. room is narrow with bed right against wall, only a shelf under window, which has a small not very good TV on it. The only chair in room is hard plastic and not comfortable to sit on. Overall a disappointing room, hence only 3star rating. Food , service and staff are still up to a good standard and location of hotel is good for me being handy to beach and old town. Would I stay here again? No, not in a single room. Do not like the wrist bands now given for room key, very annoying to have to wear 24/7 especially when in shower or in bed. Thankfully got changed back to keycard.

"Excellent again!"

We’ve had a fantastic stay at this hotel. We mainly interacted with the reception staff and entertainment team who always make us feel valued as guests. Since our last stay in August, the hotel in maintaining its high standards has invested in new tables and chairs in the restaurant area and pleasingly has improved on its sustainability by changing the wristbands and key cards to reduce plastic waste. The cleanliness of the hotel continues to be faultless. The entertainment at night and activities during the day are really good. The hotel has a wide age range of guests staying and to find acts that can appeal to all must be a challenge but they achieve a good balance; keeping the outside area and mini club open at night for children so that they are entertained if not watching the main acts is a plus! The outside facilities are excellent for younger children, and Luca especially from animación is great at engaging with them so they have fun on their holiday which is appreciated. It can be seen that he applies the same effort interacting with the adult guests too so they feel welcomed and enjoy their stay. He is a valuable asset for the hotel, representing it extremely well and he really did make the difference for us compared to other hotels we visit, thank you!

"Fabulous stay"

Another great stay at this hotel, spacious rooms, fab shower, complimentary water on arrival. The food in the restaurant was good with a varied choice, table service for drinks, very friendly staff. They are trialing a new wrist band which is your room key and can be used to add drinks to be paid for at the end of your visit. We found this system really good. We will certainly revisit next year.

"Not that great"

We generally stay in another of the RH Hotels and always enjoyed our stay but this hotel is no where near as good. Food was just average most evenings and a couple of nights was poor and we went out to eat. I would not come back here but will go back to Corona Del Mar

"Line dancing hell"

Third time staying here staff professional and friendly very clean hotel . Food good drinks reasonable price as only on half board . If you are over 60 book direct with hotel for free water and wine overnight a lovely touch. Only downside it the entertainment has gone downhill and a bloody cartel of line dancing every bloody night taking over the dance floor which is run by a bald headed man who thinks he owns the dance floor is just draining. Worst of all the entertainment and staff continues to play the same songs every night for him. For this reason only we most probably won't be back even though everything else fits our needs.

"First Class!!"

We stayed here for a week with friends. We have all travelled extensively in Europe and we all can honestly say this is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Spotlessly clean in all areas; room very comfortable with good quality toiletries in the bathroom. We stayed half board which suited our needs - the buffet selection for breakfast and evening meal was first class!! The hotel was well placed for the strip as well as the old town ( which is charming) There is also an excellent public transport system which enabled us to visit Altea & Denia which are both beautiful 🤩 We would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Benidorm !
