Medical Inn Motel

Good

As you walk in the door it smells of mildew/mold and smoke of cigarettes and weed. The lady who checked us in seemed annoyed they we were there to check in. The parking lot was full of trash everywhere. Broken bungee cords, broken chairs, etc. Also, in the parking lot there was always other visitors but they seemed very creepy. My family felt very unsafe. In our room- it smelled of drugs among other things. The smell was so bad we had to go get air fresheners. The room was constantly hot even though we had the AC set to the coldest it would go. We think it’s bad placement caused the unit to think it cooled the room when it only cooled the corner. The bathroom was dirty. The sink didn’t function properly. There was a 1 1/2in gap under our door into the hall. It let in so much noise, light, and smoke in - even though our floor was no smoking on that floor. The wall where the AC is- was falling apart. The lights didn’t function properly. Claims to have complimentary breakfast but if prepackaged baked goods are breakfast then I could’ve gotten a better meal at a gas station.

Smelled like smoke, there was mouse poop in the bed and everywhere else. Door didn’t shut all the way. Overall it was a slum. Didn’t want to risk my family there so got refund and found another place. Would NOT recommend!

Clean and quiet all the adminity I would have expected from a much higher room rate my needed some maintenance door latch from the outside would not latch sink water falume was very low and the toilet paper holder was about to fall off the wall everything else was very good

This motel is an older property, but it is in good repair. Furnishings were not new but very comfortable. Our bed was a king and was great. We stayed 2 days and it was fine. My husband had a medical procedure at the VA facility (about a block away). We definitely would stay there again if the need would arise.

Mattress leaning against the wall in the hallway was not a good look. Property desperately needs refurbishment. Parking lot is located with poor access to main entrance. Price was in right for a place to sleep for two nights. Woman at the desk was nice and polite enough. Though everything appeared OLD and SHABBY on the outside, our room was fine; it was very clean, as were the linens. TV was great; we didn’t use fridge or microwave, though other guests certainly might. It was also very quiet, and the mattress was unusually comfortable. But the exterior and surrounding neighborhood were extremely undesirable. No one would want to be outside after dark, but we felt safe indoors. I hope some improvements can be made there because there would be a need for accommodations for families of hospital patients. Serious need for UPGRADE!

We’ll check out time was 12p.m. Went for breakfast. We got back to the room at 10 30 a.m. We was going to wait to actually check out at check out Time so we wouldn’t have to wait in the car so long for my daughter appointment. Long story short. By the time we got back. They were already cleaning our room but we hadn’t checked out yet. So probably wouldn’t be staying the anymore.

Pros: Easy access to medical center. Easy convenient parking. Cons: The air conditioner sounded like it had a pie pan flopping around inside. Kept us awake all night. The toilet was loose and wobbly. Grime in the corners of the bathroom. Ice only available on the second floor. Desk clerk was very "sullen". Never smiled. Continental breakfast was "bare bones". When we got there, it only had coffee and 3 doughnuts, and had an hour to go on the running time for breakfast. Wifi was very slow and hard to connect to.
