Acker Vacation Homes & Suites

We had suite 100 which was nice and comfortable, but didn't have the best layout. The only door to the condo was through a bedroom, which meant high traffic through someone's sleeping space. The second bedroom was private, but didn't have much for sitting area or much for clothes storage. Beautiful views off the deck, and the hot tub was nice. Would stay here again but would prefer the suite with a living room.

The place has a nice view, clean, quiet, & close to the airport . Need to have more pillows or better ones, make sure each kitchen has microwaveable dishes ( plates, bowls), & a phone book.

This was a suite in a walkout basement of someone's house. It was bright, fresh with a beautiful view of Kelowna. It was very private and quiet. The gardens were lovely. It felt like home.

The best with this accomodation is its location with a great view on Kelowna and lake. We had the main large bedroom with direct access to the balcony. The other bedrooms were locked. In our case there was no staff around - we picked key and directions in an evelope from the office door. We liked our stay very much - it gave us even more holiday feeling.

I booked a single room with a kingsize bed but due to the fact the occupiers from the previous night didn't leave at 11:00 because they had a late flight was upgraded to a one bedroom suite at no extra charge!

This is not a hotel. If you're looking for the type of hospitality that you would get at hotels then don't book at Acker Vacation Homes. When we arrived at this place, we saw and spoke to no one. We were instead welcomed by an envelope with my name on it with the key and suite number inside. Considering this place was one of the more expensive places in the area, we expected much more. The suites are nowhere near where even a 3-star hotel should be. The towels were stained and rough, the toilet had what looked like mop bucket water in it, and we could very clearly hear conversations that our neighbours were having. It was difficult to sleep as we could hear every footstep and voices from other suites. I was woken up at 2 am because someone in the suite above us was puking and I could hear everything! It was a horrible night!! I will definitely be more careful in choosing hotels next time and never this place again.

Acker is poor value for the money. Key was taped to the door when we arrived, to visible staff. decor was marginal at best. No better that your cheap strip motel. bed was clean but a low end model. Photo of the toilet seat tells it all.

Barbecue available and tools were very dirty. Our stay was two days and we were only provided with one small pouch of coffee.

Our stay was terrible hated it. No one cleaned the room very small will never stay there again.

The owner was so friendly and accommodating We had a wonderful weekend!!
