Club Regina Los Cabos

A big resort with many buildings .Build on the edge of a small mountain. Yes , beaches are included. Every room has a view of the ocean. Staff provide transport. This service is good. Several pools throughout the property.Several restaurents in the property and the meals are nice. There is a local supermarket close to the resort. You can take a uber or taxi or a shuttle may be available if it's free. The entrance road to the resort is shared with the Westin property. Each resort has their check point house. I had a 1 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit that was spacious and comfortable. Soaker tub included and enjoyed. TV had english and spanish stations. No problem to find what you need. The property is about 30 years old. The grounds of this resort are nicely kept. Whales and other marine life patrol the waters.

The walls were not only paper thin, the paint on them was peeling so bad the painters had to be there.

Beautiful location on the side of a mountain above the ocean. Spacious units in need of some updating. Very helpful staff, but sometimes not enough given mountainside location without elevators and distant valet parking. Food is OK but not great. Pool locations are idea with good food and beverage service. Limited food options and San José del Cabo is about 15 km away while Cabo San Lucas is about 40 km away. Bought by Royal Holidays with operation to be assumed by Accor hotels as of mid-November 2025.

We just got home from 6 days at Club Regina in San Jose Del Cabo. We went with another couple and stayed in the grand suite. It was perfectly set up for two couples with a nicely appointed kitchen, beautiful view and spacious bedrooms. The service at this location was next level. David at the front desk is amazing. The shuttle driver , Carlos knew us and greeted us by name after only meeting us once. And Alan the bartender took fantastic care of us. This resort is literally built into the side of a cliff so it was difficult to walk the resort as the incline was steep so you needed the shuttles to run you around the resort. That being said we never had to wait more than a few minutes for a golf cart shuttle to pick us up and take us anywhere we wanted. The location of this resort is pretty centrally located. It’s about 14 miles to the north for Cuba San Lucas in about 4 miles to the south for San Jose del Cabo. We ventured into both spots multiple times and the Uber fares were reasonable. PS I highly recommend the shrimp tacos. We were offered the all inclusive package but we declined and I’m glad we did. It was $150 American per person per day and we ate and drank like royalty the entire time we were there and spent way less than that.

The weather, the whale watching, the view from every room, the food, the pool experiences, and the activities, make this a one-stop vacation. It is, however, an excellent mid-corridor location to go south to Cabo San Lucas, or north to San Jose del Cabo (the Art Walk, great restaurants).

My wife and I went for 10 days from October 3 through the 13th but due to weather ended up leaving on the 11th. When we arrived they had us pay the taxes and service charge($4,095 pesos) plus had us put a $5,000 peso hold on further charges. When we checked out on the 11th we paid $3,186 for our charges and were told we would have our $5,000 hold refunded back to our card. Despite repeated requests and promises that the $5,000 charge would be refunded, as of today, that has not occurred. They have been hard to get ahold of and frankly I'm beginning to feel like they are purposely ignoring us and intend on keeping the money. Just beware so it doesn't happen to you.

We really liked this place. We are in our 60's and travel a few times a year. This is not a new flashy highrise which is exactly what we wanted. This place blends into the mountain landscape. It is spread out with multiple buildings and 4 pools in 2 locations. You either walk or take a little shuttle. We always walked other than when we had bags. We had a 1 bedroom lockout with full kitchen and 2 baths. We prefer to cook breakfast and hit the road if we are going somewhere. This was a great home base as we had a car and did several day trips. We ate at the restaurants a couple times and they were very good. We spent one full day at the pools and they are very nice. One of the best things about this resort is the views. Every room has an oceanfront view. You get the sunrise over the Sea of Cortez every morning. Service was great and drinks were great. They do have an all inclusive option but that was not for us. We usually did our big meal mid day whenever we went. Then maybe a light meal back at the resort. We plan to return here. We used Hilton Vacation points and that was easy.

Loved Club Regina until Royal Holdiay took over a few months ago. Just got back from 3 weeks at club regina. They put a 5000 peso hold on my credit card for incidentals and was supposed to have it refunded 3 days after my departure. That was over 2 weeks ago and have still not reveived my refund. Since Royal Holiday took them over recently, you now have to pay the nightly tax upfront. Not sure whats going on but assume they are using our money upfront to exist. Not a good practice. Put in over 3 complaints and still waiting for my refund. They operate out of mexico city so I'm sure this will be a long fight. You cannot ever speak with a supervisor as they are always busy or on the phone....really!! Anyone else recently have any similar issues.

The views and the size of the unit was fantastic, but the air conditioning fans were very loud and the cleanliness upon arrival was really lacking. The furniture was tired and uncomfortable. Valet parking staff was great. One of the better aspects was how quiet the resort was overall. The food at the restaurant was not great and believe that it gave food poisoning to my friend.
