Waldport Bayfront Hotel & Restaurant

Pool was closed. Restaurant/bar closed. Water in bathroom was so hot it was dangerous. The room had an odor and when we asked for a different room on the otherside we were told it would an additional $50.- per night even though the room was the same - only the view was different.

Nice location but found used dirty underware in the corner. Also the toilet did not work, lifted lid and jiggled water source float, and we were able to flush once. Had to repeat to get water in the tank. The motel could use some major upgrades.

Having traveled all across America and abroad, I can honestly say that I had the beat night’s sleep in months here! The location can’t be beat, as it is sits on the bay with a wonderful view and breeze! We stayed two nights and throughly enjoyed our stay. The newer owners are absolutely lovely and are very passionate with their vision for this amazing property. It is a delight to patronize a family owned business as they with toward their dream of creating a thriving resort. Our room, bedding, towels and furniture were very clean and smelled good. The bed was so comfortable it was hard to get up in the morning. We look forward to our next stay here very soon!

The staff was nice

Even though I booked online and included traveling with a pet once I got there they said it placed me in a room that doesn’t allow pets so instead of just changing rooms they cancelled my online booking and it ended up costing me $30 more than my online booking. The room had a nice view however it was small and the beds took up pretty much the whole room. The beds were uncomfortable and there was an odd smell. The pool closes in late august which they should include on their website. For the price I ended up paying I should have went to the place up the road that actually had a pool and spa for $10 more. This place was more like a cheap motel at expensive resort price.

Facility was a little "tired" but quite adequate for the price. I arrived on a holiday weekend and while my confirmation email from booking.com had correct dates, hotel said I wasn't booked until next day. But they graciously made it right. Owners were on site and were personable and welcoming. Breakfast muffins weren't great but that's the harshest thing I can say...

Check in line was very long and very slow. Kids running up and down halls after 10pm. Doors slaming all night. Walls are so thin you could hear the next room snoring.
