Preskil Island Resort

The room is well designed and very comfortable. The staff very courteous. We were there only for a day and so did not use the water sport options. I did the breakfast could have been better. Lot of the items were cold or not replenished. The Mediterranean restaurant was good. The view of the waters is spectacular.

The water was very expensive and theres not so much to do in the area outside the hotel without a car.

The room was really nice and comfortable, nothing bad about it. The bed was very nice and the view was good too!

The only positive thing about this stay was the room itself. It was comfortable and I genuinely slept very well. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended. Pretty much everything else was below standard, and especially the staff were shockingly bad. The food was ridiculously overpriced for the quality you get. For the dinner buffet, I paid the equivalent of €54 just for myself — that included one cola and access to the buffet. Lunch then cost around €35 per person, again for a low-quality buffet. The service was possibly even worse. Waiting 30 minutes for a drink was normal. We asked multiple times whether the drinks were on the way, but were simply ignored. Eventually the drinks arrived without even a basic apology. That pretty much sums up the attitude of the staff throughout the entire stay. There were also multiple issues at reception. For example, we were told that a taxi would cost 1000 Mauritian rupees. When we actually wanted to book it, the price suddenly became 1300. Card payments were supposedly possible, but for smaller amounts there was suddenly a minimum spend of 500 rupees plus an additional fee. We also wanted to book a table at one of the resort restaurants, but were told it was “fully booked.” Later that evening it turned out this was simply not true — the restaurant was literally half empty for most of the night. To make things even more frustrating, almost nobody on the staff spoke proper English apart from the manager. Simple questions were either not understood or completely misunderstood. The most bizarre moment was when part of my family had to leave early to catch their flight. Their car was parked outside the resort on a public parking area, yet the staff refused to let them simply drive away. No explanation was given, but the woman standing outside acted as if we were doing something wrong. Overall, absolutely not recommended. A comfortable bed alone does not make a good stay, especially not for these prices.

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel à l’hôtel Preskil à l’Île Maurice. Tout était absolument parfait du début à la fin. Le personnel est incroyablement attentionné et toujours aux petits soins. Les chambres sont spacieuses, très propres et la literie est tout simplement incroyable : des lits immenses et d’un confort rare, nous avons dormi comme jamais ! Un immense merci à Alexandre du service animation pour sa bonne humeur et sa gentillesse, ainsi qu’à Linda, la responsable clientèle, qui est une personne exceptionnelle. Toujours disponible, souriante et prête à trouver une solution pour que votre séjour soit parfait. Une mention spéciale également au directeur Ravidev Telwa, très chaleureux avec les clients et toujours présent pour prendre de vos nouvelles et s’assurer que tout se passe au mieux. Ce niveau d’attention fait vraiment la différence. Merci aussi à Veejess pour sa gentillesse inouïe. Nous recommandons fortement le spa Banyan : les massages y sont réalisés avec beaucoup de professionnalisme et permettent un vrai moment de détente. Merci à toute l’équipe du Preskil pour ces vacances inoubliables. Un établissement qui mérite largement son standing. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir !
