SpringHill Suites St Petersburg Clearwater

The front desk kindness. The room, the cleaning. The furniture and appliances. The location. The access to the hotel. Great!

The hotel left alot to be desired. The overall appearance of the hotel was very out dated. The elevators did not work. Climbing flights of stairs in July heat wasn't the best. The water pressure in the shower was very weak. It was notice able the furniture needed to be steam cleaned giving a grimy feeling to the entire room . Breakfast was disgusting. Powder eggs, rubbery waffles, half cooked breakfast sausages. Any perk I originally seen for staying here faded quickly.

Coffee machine was broken, so no coffee at all had to go to a coffee shop.

It was an okay hotel, the elevators did not work at all and we were not informed of this until we arrived at 10 at night after driving 16 hours. Then we were put in the room on the 2nd floor right beside the stairwell so there was quite a bit of noise, knowing EVERY guest would have to use the stairs it seems as though that would be the last room to be used but we booked several weeks ago. The room was very clean and comfortable, we loved that they had regular sized shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles attached to the shower wall at a convenient height. The breakfast was good Sunday however Monday had only one pot of severly watered down coffee and cold, soggy Bob Evans sandwiches. Monday the sausage was flavorless and the potatoes were undercooked. The employees were all super polite and helpful though. The pool and hot tub were okay, they could both have been cleaned better.

The pool was not working, we came to Florida to use it. And it was not mention before hand. We booked online and when we arrived the price was different so and there was a 20 dollar added charge for deposit.

Hotel staff was nice. There were numerous stains on couch and bed box spring . The neighbors were smoking weed and the smoke was coming into our room. The hotel itself needs upkeep. It is very old looking and repairs are needed. It is not up to the standards of other Springhill suites I have stayed in.

We checked in an hour late to to guarantee the room the room was ready and still had to wait an additional 30 minutes, elevator was not in working condition, room was a non-smoking room but smelt liking someone had just been smoking in it, and the air conditioning was stuck on the lowest setting with no way to adjust or turn off.

Hotel located in town. Easy shopping. Hotel is clean and room is spacious and bed is comfortable

I travel to the Tampa-St. Pete area every few weeks, and I've seen a lot of hotels. This one was a standout due to service and overall comfort.
