Blenkinsopp Castle Inn

A little out of the way but beautiful and comfortable. Gary, the owner, gave us a ride to and from and was so nice and accommodating!! The food was really good too!

Gary and his wife (sorry I didn’t get your name) were so incredibly helpful and kind. Gary came to pick me up from the next village after I sustained an injury on the Hadrians wall path. Nothing was too much trouble for them and I am so grateful to them as I was able to continue the hike due to the extra rest I was able to take! The breakfast was lovely, very comfy beds, nice shower, lovely quiet location with plenty of parking if you’re driving. Close to the Hadrians wall path if you’re hiking! Packed lunch was tasty and filling and reasonably priced. I’d definitely stay again! Thank you!

There is nothing not to like. However be aware of midges in the evening!

Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Decor and styling was very nice. Lovely bar / dining area with a good range of drinks available. Handy location for anyone doing Hadrian's Wall with access to the local bus services, but the public footpath across farmland wasn't the handiest when dropping down from Thirlwall Castle.

Checking in was a bit slow, but was welcoming none the less

Zeer ruime kamer met alle voorzieningen, en een restaurant met lekker eten. Een gastvrije plek.

Ligt echt een eind van Hadrian's trail en is niet makkelijk bereikbaar zonder auto. Blenkinsopp biedt optie voor transfer tegen betaling, maar dat is niet goedkoop.
