Octant Vila Monte

We went in preseason in May, the hotel and grounds are excellent. The staff were helpful and quick to respond. Would certainly go back.

Outstanding hotel, the most wonderful staff, extremely attentive nothing is ever too much trouble, extremely high attention to detail in every sense, I cannot fault anything in any way, I only wish that my stay was longer. I will definitely recommend this beautiful hotel & hope to return one day as everything has been so perfect! Thank you for a fabulous stay!

Good rooms, excellent staff, beautiful hotel grounds and downside is limited and a bit pricey food offer, expensive in-room coffee pods and also room service charge.

We loved Vila Monte, the lovely grounds, excellent staff, very relaxed atmosphere. It was a green oasis amid a very arid surrounding landscape. We did not spend much time using the hotel's facilities, but a car was necessary to visit the local towns and coast. We were disappointed with our room(Room 6) although it was only a standard double room, we would have expected a chair in the room as when we were in the room we could only sit/lie on the bed. It was also situated a little out of the way, next to the cleaners room,under trees and with no sunlight or view. (Not one of the better rooms) We ate in the A Terra restaurant twice and felt it was not good value for money - expensive. Again staff very friendly. Breakfast was very good, and staff extremely friendly and helpful. We ate in Moncarapacho, about 5 minutes drive, at Antonio's and Restaurant Da Ana, both very good and very reasonable prices. All in all a lovely hotel, but not keen on the room.

Beautiful setting. Very well kept gardens. Most staff were great. Watch out for Paulo the server- we weren't treated very well- ignored and he was rude.

Truly excellent hotel. A little awkward to find but once there you don't want to leave. View from breakfast fantastic.

This place is just wonderful, the staff, the hotel, the grounds are all excellent. The rooms are fresh and modern with high end accessories, hats and bags for your use during your stay and an umbrella! The overall site is extremely well kept and clean. The food is also very good, try the homemade bread.

So fabulous that we've already booked to come back
