Mela Villas

The private pool, with an amazing view. The host kindly left us some basic foods, and towels. The villa itself was extremely spacious, clean, and self sufficient.

We spent four nights there, and it was amazing! Located in a small village just a 12-minute drive from Rethymno, 5 mins from Lidl supermarket, the pool was fantastic!

The air conditioner is weak, so the rooms remain hot on summer nights. There is no TV in the bedrooms. Crickets outside are quite noisy, but this is typical for Crete.

Delighted with all aspects, secure safe parking, superb sparkling clean pool in a private secluded area which has the sun all day. A large sun shade is provided as is a BBQ facility. The Villa is immaculate, air conditioned, clean functional and has a loverly balcony with views over the area. A variety of local supermarkets and restraunts are within a few minutes drive as are a selection of beaches should you want to tear yourself away from the pool. The owner and family and staff are wonderful, friendly, helpful making you most welcome. I had a minor health problem and I was directed to the local health clinic which was very good , they and the pharmacy staff all spoke English and very helpful.

We had a fantastic stay at Mela Villas, nestled in the tranquil village of Maroulás. The villa offered us a serene getaway with its outdoor pool and cozy accommodations, all while being conveniently close to Rethymno Town and beautiful sandy beaches. The amenities were top-notch, from the well-equipped kitchen to the comfortable seating areas and air-conditioned units. Our private bathroom was stocked with complimentary toiletries, adding an extra touch of luxury to our stay. With free WiFi and private parking, Mela Villas provided all the conveniences of home. The property’s 5-star rating is well-deserved, and we left feeling refreshed and grateful for the experience. Highly recommended for a peaceful retreat with all the comforts of home!

Really clean and well presented. It had everything we needed and was well located

Clean, modern, quiet and private. Lovely private pool which had sun all day. You will need a car but that is the price you pay for peace and privacy. 5 minute drive to the main tourist area and main road so easy to find something to do and somewhere to eat. Many nice places to eat away from the main area too, drive to the top of the hill and enjoy the food and magnificent views from Taverna Fantistica. Owners and staff were great, attentive and responsive without being in any way intrusive. They were happy to keep the pool open for me later into the year than advertised. Would recommend without hesitation.
