Americas Best Value Inn Lafayette

The hotel smelled like cigarettes all around, bums were sleeping next to cars outside, the hotel had water stains and cracks in everything around the room, no hot water just frigid cold, the mini fridge was rusted and old, the tv screen was messed up and skipping like radio does when your in a bad area, Wi-Fi didn’t work and no breakfast.

They didn’t have breakfast like they said when we called. We had a leak in our bathroom.

Everyone is very nice

First of all the AC in our room did not work. Then they only had two towels in the room when we checked in and when we went to the front desk and asked for some more towels they said that I could not get any more until 9am the next morning. The web site said a hot breakfast was included but all they had was coffee and orange juice.

This place is literally falling down around them, while the staff was nice there wasn't much they could do. Elevator was out, had to request lightbulbs for lamps, bathtub had a crack making it unstable, there were no TOWELS, and the entire property had a smell. This property needs a lot of work and is advertised to have breakfast and a restaraunt on property which it does not.

Checking in at the counter was simple, issues started when I was told I didn't know how to use a key card, that required the desk person to physically pop a cover off and use a master key to let me in. Happened every time I left the room. They do not have WIFI, well they have un-secured free to access by anybody (customer or not). No shampoo/bar soap (basics). Syrup or some type of sugar base sticky residue is on night stand, desk, and floor by the fridge. I knew the place was going to be sketchy but not to the point where it was worse than other places for the same price i've been to. By far the worse out of the 10+ hotels i've stayed at in the past month to two months.

I didn't like the fact id prepd & immediately wanted to ck out ,was told no refund would be issued . I took pics , expedia was no help . A partially acceptable room was found 2 hrs after i checked in elevator was out of order , no breakfast, no restaurant. Im out $184 for 2 nite stay & all i received was being treated horribly. I shoulsve received a full refund .

Did not enjoy it what so ever had the wrong room and when the ac started leaking they refused to give us another room nd sent the maintanence man to fix it which took over an hour

This was where we ended up at after being treated like we were less than human by your customer service and after being promised a 25 dollar credit 3 different times which they said it would be there in 72 hours but we're going on 4 days now we still haven't received as we speak. So your 72 hours turned into 4 days and counting.
