The property is away from the main strip so it’s a lot quieter which was nice. With a scooter, it’s a 5 minute drive to the centre of the town. The rooms are a good size and nice and clean. The Filipino staff are also very accomodating and do what they can to help. The pool is a great size, and there’s an outdoor (undercover) gym with a range of equipment which was a nice bonus.

The mattresses felt like concrete and were without a doubt the hardest we slept on throughout our 3 weeks in the Phillipines. The owners, who are Eastern European, run the place like a money making business. Everything has an additional fee (including butter). Prices are significantly higher at the hotel (scooter is 500, in town 1km away it’s 350, chocolate hill tour is 3500 for a car, elsewhere between 2500-3000). The local staff working there were also not shown respect by the female owner would tell them what to say and then roll her eyes. We felt the place didn’t treat their staff and their customers with the kindest customer service.

The room was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was well-prepared and enjoyable.

In my opinion, it’s not possible to walk to Alona safely, as the access road doesn’t feel secure. However, the hotel can call a tricycle to take you there.

Wonderful stay! The staff is very professional, welcoming, kind, and accommodating. I loved how spotless and well organized my room was with all the essentials. The entire resort is cozy and quiet with a nice pool. It's the perfect place to reset after exploring the busy areas of town. I also enjoyed their delicious quick meals whenever I was too tired to go out for dinner. Try the crêpes!!😋 Overall 10/10, I hope to be back soon.

Perfect accommodation to explore Panglao. It is not located in the center so it offers a quiet space to relax. You can easily reach the center by tricycle or motorbike. The accommodation itself was very clean and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend coming here!

The owner was very kind to arrange travel for us for our required destinations. ( Sea of Clouds for which we left at 3.30 in the early morning.) The staff is excellent and attentive to your every need. We liked the location. This is a late post I travelled in early november. I am not sure if I remember the chef's name correctly, I think it's Lily and she prepared an excellent meal for us. Forgive me if i got the name wrong. The owners are very friendly. Overall a great stay.

I would have given a 10 except that we faced slight issue in the water supply to the shower and the washroom on the 2nd day. Though I understand that water supply from the municipality is not in anyone's control, however if the water pressure would have been better it would have been the perfect stay.

Selectum Mangrove Resort was calm and serene. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was clean, the matress was nice and firm, the bathroom was stocked and had adequate water pressure. The air con was amazing. Whenever we needed to go different places the staff called us a tuk tuk. They also serve food on site. The food was fresh and delicious. They even accommodated our late fresh fruit shake craving. Can’t fault this place. Highly recommend.

Everyone’s preference is different. Selectum suits me and my partner’s holiday style.
