Apartamentos LIVVO Koala Garden

The hotel, was dated but clean and tidy. it was a bit further away from the beach than we had thought, about an half hour walk, or you could use the free bus provided. Free WiFI would have been a bonus, as its always nice to keep in touch with those at home.

It was good.

Good apartments but be prepared to walk to the centre and the beach In a week we must have walked 150 kilometers. Maid service not efficient. Pool for kids and then one for adults around the corner which was good. Clean and spacious when we first arrived which looked value for money. I would stay here again but for us it was too far from anywhere especially the beach. The bus is predictable timings be prepared to get pushed by the elderly Northern Europeans to get on board in the mornings to ride to the beach.

Very basic hotel. Some bits need to be exchanged asap- broken shower head, yellow toilet seats, ripped old bed linen. Fairly good food. Swimming pool areas were not being cleaned every day. The stay was v cheap- so may say- good value for money... They provide free transport to the amazing, beautiful beach, though. Nice, polite staff, well- most of them.

Being a huge fan of the Canaries in general, this holiday again was nothing but relaxing and good fun. The apartments are clean and spaceous, with little terraces overlooking several outdoor pools. Never any problems with noise and the staff were always very eager to help. We met quite a few guests who had been coming back to Koala for years. When you get into the airport the number 66 bus will take you in the direction of Maspalomas and will drop you a few minutes walk from the main reception (walk past the little complex with a few bars/restaurants & bowling alley - down through the underpassage which avoids crossing the road and when you come out you will see signs leading you to reception). These apartments are about a 5 minute drive (or a 20/30 min stroll) from the beach but at reception they will give you a little card which permits you to use a shuttle service to and from Koala for free (alternatively a taxi is about 3 euros each way). In general I think this was incredible value for price and I would definitely go back to Koala again!

Location suited us as it was central for the road network. Room was more than adequately equipped. Kitchenette was small but had two ring hob, microwave oven, coffee maker, kettle and toaster, and, fridge.all of which worked perfectly. Maids came round every day bar one to make up beds. We did not use Restaurants as we were self catering. Small supermarket nearby and others not too far away. Only small issue was that all room electrics (except fridge) were activated by room card on arrival in room. The aircon needed resetting each time but got hang of it after a day or so. Security around site was good as the gats could be opened with room key except after 20.30 when you had to go via reception. Overall enjoyed place. Not bad value as this is budget hotel. Even the local cats were friendly enough :)

Lovely peaceful place - a bit away from the beach but free bus service / cheap taxi, and plenty parking. Excellent value for money and well looked after. plenty activities for the kiddies - maybe not ideal if you are looking for nightlife though.

This is our second trip to Koala Garden Suites in Campo de Golf, Maspalomas, Gran Canaria. We chose these apartments due to the five pools which are spread around the complex. The main pool has a bar and restaurant and the kids club is based there too. A kids play area is right next door ideal for the little ones when they want to get out of the pool for a while. The other pools are smaller and located within a small circle of apartments so are quieter. Plenty of sunbeds and parasols to go round. The one bed apartments are roomy, with two beds in the separate bedroom (queen sized) and two single sofa beds in the lounge which are perfect for kids. The simple kitchen area has two rings, microwave and toaster and coffee machine - okay for making simple meals. Plenty of crockery and few pots and pans. The restaurant serves simple meals at lunchtime, pizza, salads, burgers etc, never ate there in the evening however. Staff are all friendly. There is a free bus to Maspalomas beach. The surrounding areas are mainly other apartment blocks with restaurants and the Holiday World complex (arcades, bowling, amusements, rides etc). A few minutes further is Faro 2 shopping complex with some restaurants and shops. If you are just after a pool side holiday then its perfect.

I was visiting my daughter who lives in Gran Canaria and this hotel was perfect for me. It had air conditioning, maid service every day, courtesy bus to beach, was pretty quiet, had restaurant, good pools and pleasant surroundings but my daughter had a car so could come and pick me up. You could get a cab easily but if you wanted to walk anywhere it was very difficult - especially in 32 degrees! It was possible to walk to the beach (if you wanted a fairly long walk) but it was mainly along busy roads. However, if you are content to get a cab everywhere, then it would be perfect.
