The Pearl South Pacific Resort, Spa & Golf Course

2 of us got food posiening from the buffet dinner. rooms were dirty. paint was chipping. rooms didn't have adequate ventilation condensation was terrible.

It’s a really nice spot overall, with a great beach to walk and explore. Just across the road you’ve got local village life, and a short walk takes you to cafés, bars, a few souvenir shops, and some water activities when the weather plays along. The resort itself seems to have the right number of bars and food outlets for its size, so nothing feels overcrowded or hard to get to.

The entrance off the road is very uninviting and doesn’t reflect the quality of what follows once you’re inside. They’ve got a great pool bar and an adults-only pool, and there are plenty of staff around that area—but no one seems to be doing rounds to take drink or food orders. Guests end up having to walk over to the bar themselves, which takes away from the experience. There’s a mix of newer and older wings. Some of the older areas feel a bit run-down and dark, although everything is still functional. The gym is also a let-down—especially if you like to get a quick workout in before overindulging in the food and alcohol. It’s basic and doesn’t match the rest of the resort’s potential.

Location is perfect. Great potential. Friendly staff. Ocean view rooms facing adults only pool are probably the best rooms there so I'd recommend these. The gardens are nice and mature

Food was bland and boring. Can't understand how they could make everything so tastless. The menu is limited. Breakfast had some potential but again everything was bland. One day there was someone making omelets but only once during our 5 nights there. The room given to us (by mistake) for the first night was facing the marina.. everything there was tired, the room was dark and one wall was actually wet with water running down the wall onto the floor. We moved to the Ocean view room facing the adults only pool which was much better.. the pool itself should be renovated as the blue paint is peeling. The rusting wrecks of 2 or 3 boats by the marina don't give your a luxury feeling while eating breakfast... it's supposed to be a luxury multi million dollar marina according to the brochure...

That the staff were very polite & helpful. The rooms were neat & tidy. Very great experience for first timers in Fiji. The photos do not do justice how beautiful the resort is.

The drive not realising it would've been easier to come from Suva rather than Nadi. That was on our behalf.
