The Hotel Saratoga, an Ascend Collection Hotel

For the price, the hotel is an excellent value. The staff was friendly and attentive. The worker at breakfast was always busy keeping the area stocked and tidy. I also used the gym facilities and they were definitely adequate with multiple machines. Although I didn't take advantage of it, I like the option to go to the bar in the evening.

I had room 208. There were two issues with doors. The bathroom door only closed if it was pushed in with effort and the knob looked damaged. The exterior door was not fit properly into the door. When it closed, the top would strike the metal door frame, making a loud bang before it then closed. Not a deal breaker, but I was afraid I woke up my neighbors when it would close because it was loud.

The size of the room was nice

Tv was broken in the living room/kitchen part of the room.

Location

Lodge was bad smelling from the moment we opened the doors. Smelled damp snd moldy. The fridge was not usable. They did not have large enough outlet for microwave, tv and refrigerator. Cabinet was not even on correct wall space. There is a crack between tub and wall of shower. Water can get into wall. Staff was friendly enough. Not suite quality.

Big hole in the driveway entrance needed repair

Staff,breakfast and we sat outside after our event and it was lovely.

Bathroom sink did not have a vanity, no place to put things in the room,shower handle looked like it was ready to break.

The breakfast & staff were pleasant & accommodating.

The pool needed to be cleaned & tile needed to be replaced. The grounds were poorly maintained. The doors to the rooms had to be slammed to completely close. Poor ventilation in bathroom.
