New Century Hangzhou Grand Hotel

Very clean, comfort room. The location is bit remote from airport but still ok.

Everything is perfect with this hotel with 2 exceptions: The location is far from the main tourist attractions so you are forced to have a daily long travel if you came as a tourist. The staff does not speak English well. We asked for help with the bath and they got us milk. There was a bad understanding on a second phone call as well. Breakfasts are a great feast here so I suggest you go on a diet before you come here.

Only stayed here one night but could not fault and would definitely return in the future

About the only thing negative I can say is the the buffet dinner, and I suppose the same thing for the breakfast, is that although it was quite diverse and pretty good food, there was alot of cross contamination of different types of food. For example I don't eat pork, but utensils used to serve pork dishes and say lamb would be the same. SO I felt I couldn't eat too much of the meat. Same with the fish and seafoood. But this is China and you just have to deal with it.

Our hotel experience was very nice...the service was great, the breakfast offerings were substantial, and the only downside was there was construction for putting the subway in so it was not that easy to get to the hotel. The taxi ride to the West Lake area was about $10 US, which might be considered a downside.

A good hotel, but far from the city centre of Hangzhou. Take 30 minutes with the taxi from the train station. Just next to the hotel ( october 2011) working is going on for a metro network. Shopping is nearby. Restaurant in the hotel is very good and cheap. All food was ok. Personal was friendly, but do not speak good English to give good information on the information desk. Checking desk was fine. Hotel at all is very good.
