The location was excelente and very nice staff

The hotel is outdated and noisy, the rooms are very old with now recent touch, they just don’t make sense specially with the prices they charged. Not a good experience.

The hotel and on-site staff are very nice. The beach with lounge chairs is just across the street. The hotel has a well-equipped kitchen, a great view (I stayed in the Lerici room), and a lovely balcony. In my opinion, the location doesn’t matter much since the village is small and very walkable. I also tried the restaurant downstairs—the food was excellent.

The following isn’t about the hotel, but Mahahual really needs to cut down on plastic use. It’s everywhere—plastic straws in most drinks, plastic wrapping around plates at street food stalls, and even plastic coffee cups when dining at restaurants. It’s bad. The plastic goes straight into the ocean and washes up on the beach just outside the village center.

The apartment is above a restaurant so it’s quite loud all day.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and I cannot emphasize enough how disappointed I am with the entire experience. The photos online are extremely misleading and do not represent the actual state of the property. We booked this hotel because it was advertised as a three-star, but I can assure you, it couldn’t be further from the truth. To start with, nothing worked in our room. The TV was completely useless, and the internet was nonexistent. We reached out for assistance multiple times, but despite our efforts, no one was available to help us. It was incredibly frustrating to be ignored, especially when you're paying for a service that is clearly not being delivered. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If I could give it zero stars, I absolutely would. There are plenty of other options out there—do yourself a favor and steer clear of this one.

Good location on the beach, walking distance scuba dive shops. On-site parking and restaurant.
