Kapievi Ecovillage

Kapievi’s garden is lush Green and beautiful. A real oasis. The reception and Restaurant area is Open and inviting. The rooms are spacious and modern with a great air con (which is especially nice after a long day in the Amazon Jungle!) Staff is doing their best to make your stay memorable and as pleasant as possible. 10/10! They Even organized an organic cacao cake from a local bakery for my girlfriends Birthday. The Pool area is Great and the Jungle gym is small but has everything you need. If you come to Puerto Maldonado stay here.

I am a foodie. I read a lot of great reviews of the food at Kapievi and tbh was a little bit disapointed by the breakfast and the Menu of their Restaurant. Don’t get me wrong it’s okay, but far from being outstanding or even special. Not many options and breakfast is really repetitive. Waitress is friendly but suuuuuper slow. A great place like Kapievi needs a restaurant that matches its class. The cocktails are amazing tho! 😉

The personnel is very nice and polite, they helped me with the taxi, laundry service and they gave me advices for the tours. I had an amazing massage with Lirio. The restaurant was great, I would have tried the entire menu if I could! With a bit of luck, you can also spot some animals in their beautiful garden. I wanted to treat me well for some days and I couldn't have made a better choice.

I would have liked to have more privacy, because people passing in the garden from the reception could see me through the window of my balcony. They did not think about this when building the structure... I had to keep all the curtains closed, and it's a a pity because you don't see anymore the beautiful trees in front of the room. Unfortunately the pool was quite dirty...

Die Lage der Kapievi Ecolodge ist sehr schön und ruhig – das ist der einzige echte Pluspunkt

Leider stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis überhaupt nicht. Das Restaurant war eine große Enttäuschung: Statt der angekündigten vegetarischen Küche gab es nur eine sehr kleine Auswahl, die eher an einfaches Fast Food erinnerte und insgesamt geschmacklich mittelmäßig war. Während unseres Aufenthalts gab es zudem Baulärm, der die eigentlich ruhige Atmosphäre deutlich beeinträchtigt hat. Auch die Bilder auf der Website (z. B. vom Pool) entsprechen nicht wirklich der Realität. Die Dusche funktionierte trotz täglicher Reklamation nicht richtig – ohne Lösung. Auch die Organisation insgesamt war sehr unzuverlässig (z. B. Taxi-Anfragen). Besonders negativ war die Tourplanung: Die Lodge bewirbt auf ihrer Website den Partner „Tambopata“, reagierte jedoch tagelang nicht auf Anfragen. Auf Nachfrage nach Alternativen wurden wir lediglich in den Ort verwiesen, wo wir selbst suchen sollten. Zudem waren die angebotenen Touren extrem überteuert. Insgesamt hatten wir den Eindruck, dass sich vor Ort niemand wirklich verantwortlich fühlt – es fehlt an Präsenz, Struktur und spürbarer Führung. .

Staff and management very willing ti make our stay comfortable, very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent in the restaurant...true chefs cooking!

A few small spruce ups to pool area

Beautiful garden, comfortable and well equipped room, very friendly staff.

Didn't have water for few days which was due to the city outage. I would expect discount but I was charged full price. The waiting time in restaurants is about 1h It's not safe to leave the hostel garden due to the wild dogs. So you need to get a taxi to go anywhere.

The room was very comfortable and super clean. I have travelled across Peru and this accommodation was by far the best we had!

The rooms where dirty, the pool deck was broken in floor. Most of the staff did not understand english, so it was difficult to communicate at the restaurant whit the staff. There was not many options at the menu card. And at the breakfast you could only choose the same as your partner.
