Club Wyndham SeaWatch Resort

Five adults stayed in a 3BR, 3 Bath 7th floor unit in the North Tower in the hotel. It was perfect for us. Views wonderful, buffet breakfast excellent. Front desk staff was wonderful. Since we had 5 adults, we needed a few more towels, no worries just ask for them at desk or for beach towels. We had our own chairs and umbrellas so we did not rent anything but you could rent them from 9 to 4pm. Great restaurants within 10 mins, Walmart very close as well. Everyone loved the tiki bar with great service. Everything was great. The resort is very clean and very well maintained. Everyone loved the lazy rivers (not just for kids), all the pools, hot tubs. Parking was fine as well. There was a small amount of mold in the showers in our unit (not a lot) but yes some mold but you are at the beach, mold can happen. Unit had everything we could want and appliances were well maintained. Had ice machine on our floor as well. When I asked our family if they would come back they all said it was great for what they wanted to do. We all had a great time.

We stayed in room 716 in the north tower. It was disgusting. It had been surface cleaned only. Every single dish we pulled out was dirty. The showers had mold all in the grout and at the bottom of the glass door had black moldy slime that kept falling off in the floor when the door was closed. There was trash left on the balcony from the previous guests and fingerprints all over the glass. There was mold on the inside seal of the refrigerator and freezer door. The stove only had 1 eye that worked well, 2 did not work at all. The top had been wiped but the door and handle of the stove had old food dried up on it. I gave it a 2 because the facilities are well maintained but that room was not clean by any stretch of the imagination.

Family spent a week in a 2-bedroom unit in the Villa 1 building at Seawatch Resort. The rooms in the unit were well-maintained and fairly clean. Kitchen and living room areas were decent sized if not overly spacious. Both bedrooms were comfortable, and the bathrooms were functional and effective. We had a balcony off the back, which had a nice overview of the lagoon and the pools. We could also see a bit of the beach and ocean, although the view from our particular balcony was somewhat limited. Resort had easy access to the beach and ocean, which only required a short walk through the courtyard areas between the buildings. Similarly, there were multiple pools and a couple lazy rivers within easy walking distance as well. Resort had multiple activities and programs scheduled each day if one were interested; some being free while many requiring a small fee.

On a recent trip to Myrtle Beach, we stayed in 3 bedroom condo in Villa II. Let me preface this by saying we have been Club Wydham VIP owners since the 1980. Being a VIP means nothing. Make no mistake, these are the cheap seats at Sea Watch. Villa II is farthest building from the beach at Sea Watch. If you have dreams of sitting out on the balcony with a cup of coffee in the morning, watching the sunrise on the ocean, and listening to the waves crashing on the beach, this is not the place for that. The rooms are smaller, crowded, almost claustrophobic, and no whirlpool bath like we've had at other Wydham Resorts. We had pocket doors that didn't close, electrical and USB outlets that didn't work. If you stay here, and I wouldn't recommend it, but if you do stay here, specify either of the towers. Me personally, I'll never stay at Sea Watch again, Worst vacation ever. I didn't post any photos because there was nothing worth seeing here.

My husband and I celebrated my 67th birthday and our 41st wedding anniversary in Myrtle Beach. The Club Wyndham SeaWatch Resort experience was the excellent place to relax and enjoy. The resort had the amenities that we needed and there were daily activities that kept us busy. There was no need to leave the resort if you didn't want to. The beach was clean and such a beautiful scenery. We had a great time. Oh my, and the location was close to great eateries and the mall. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a great vacation spot.
