Blue Seal Inn

Check in was supposed to be at 3. When I got there he said he doesn’t have maids and it won’t be until probably 5pm. My confirmation showed 2 queen beds he said his only shows 1 queen bed. Was not accommodating at all. He had me go tell the maid to clean my room after she got done with the one she was currently working. The room was supposed to have a mini fridge. The fridge was broken down outside our room. We had no place to store our drinks or food we brought. Door handles on dresser were broke. Faucet in sink was broken. Bed bugs bit me. Walls are super thin and you can hear everything. The bed is on a metal frame that moves as you move. Not sturdy at all.

There were no lamps on the nightstands. Only light in the bedrooms provided by one bulb in the ceiling. Sink area had no countertop no place for women replace their cosmetic bags or anything else. No tissues in the room no toilet paper holder in the bathroom. Only two towels available. Combination shampoo and conditioner packets were extremely difficult to tear open. It was a large gap under the front door which allowed cold air to stream in at night. Booked a queen bed but was given a full size. Way overpriced it more than $330. Probably deserved some credit on my bill as a result. Swimming pool was drained needed work.

Cons: The pool is under repair, the motel was noisy. It was hard to sleep with the light shining in the window, shutters would not close all the way. The air conditioner is a wall unit, it did not cool off the room. The bathroom was clean but old. The beds were lumpy. The beds had sheets and bedspreads, no actual blankets. The neighborhood was sketchy. The price was high. Located on an extremely busy street with no crosswalks for a few blocks. A lot of people park their trailers or RVs on the street so it is hard to see traffic if you are walking around. Pros: walking distance to the beach. Management was helpful. Parking was included. Parking was not strict. Pets are allowed. If you can get this place for a deal it would be worth it. For 300 a night? Look elsewhere.

Room was dirty paw print on sheets floor was sandy and had dust and when walking on it your feet turned black. Mold in the bathroom and paint was chipped. Staff was friendly and they did give me a broom overall just needs improvement and better cleaning

Check in is 3pm, yet my room wasn’t ready until 430pm. No sorry, nothing for the inconvenience

We had no other option, so we had to suck it up. The property is run down but has potential to look so much better. We got the 3 beds that had a little kitchen and bathrooms. The kitchen cabinet doors were hanging off, one bathroom had no toilet seat and was clogged, the carpets were horrendous, only one small trash can provided for the entire room(not even for the bathrooms), possible mold spotted in bathrooms, and our room was not ready till 7:30PM! Pros: walking distance to the beach, having 3 beds and kitchen. With the right management in place, this location can improve greatly. Until then, we plan to stay elsewhere.

For the price it was nice 2 blocks from the beach. See the Beach from the hotel. Nice area quiet hotel

Unfortunately, my room was lacking some expected items that the manager mostly remedied in a timely manner. 1) missing smoke detector (replaced timely) 2) broken lamp (not fixed per my decision) 3) TV did not work easily (manager had to show me how to finagle buttons to get to live tv. There was no way to figure this out without his help) 4) Towels no bath mat or hand towels in room when checked in. We finally got some after a couple days. 5) Bed had a thin bedspread and sheet only. I had to ask for a blanket 6) Bare minimum in the room - 1 queen bed, 2 bed side tables with lamps, one broken, 1 small table with 2 unmatching chairs, small refrigerator and 1 TV. 7)Swimming pool was empty and out of commission. 8) No breakfast, food or coffee offered. The bathroom was very nice and clean with a walkin shower. Knowing and accepting all these limitations, I would possibly stay here again. The price was right.

Great location for the price.

Bed had only one sheet to cover no blanket. Reported to receptionist, but we never got a blanket or extra towel. Stayed 2 night, never cleaned. Receptionist said they needed help and only one person was working. Horrible experience. We will never go to this place again.
