Fairfield Inn and Suites San Bernardino

and this property defines Fairfield. Nothing special, nothing terrible. Located near the highway, on the edge of a shopping/restaurant plaza, with an office park behind is this three story property with about 100 rooms. If you've been in a Fairfield in the past 6 years I don't have to describe this one. We are "platinum" and for some reason they had preassigned us a groundfloor room on the highway end of things. Easy to get swapped to the 2nd floor towards the other end, and the room was quiet, but that should be automatic. Gym is small, as is the indoor pool. Breakfast had waffles plus two hot items (eggs, or biscuits with sausage gravy). Both were acceptable.

Nice property; convenient location, well maintained with friendly staff. GREAT room and functionality. HOWEVER, $10/day parking is an absolute gouge and insult. This place shares parking with a restaurant and while I appreciate they provide security from 10 PM to 6 AM, this IS NOT a major metropolitan area necessitating paid parking. While the hotel is nice, I will not return nor recommend due to the flagrant disregard for reasonableness. It's not the $10... it's the principle. HINT Mr. Property manager; bury the petty $10 in the room rate and no one will complain. Waving this charge in your guest's face is an insult.

I highly recommend Fairfield Inn, because of its clean and comfortable rooms, efficient check in/check out process, secure an safe environment, also the staff was friendly. I will stay there when I come back.

Love the location right off the I-10. Unfortunately, room was a little noisy. Lots of food restaurants nearby.
