Property was clean. Staff was friendly. Restaurant and bar options on the property were good and the food was excellent. Only negative would be comfort of the beds (hard) and the pillows were just ok. Overall, a wonderful trip.
We’ve been staying in the cottages at The Lodge for the past three summers and had always enjoyed our time—until this year. Unfortunately, our experience in Cottage 17 was disappointing due to an ongoing ant problem. Ants were crawling on the kitchen counters and walls, and despite calling for help, no one came for over eight hours. I had to personally go to the front desk to follow up. When someone finally responded, all they did was place a few traps—there was no effort made to clean the kitchen or offer housekeeping assistance, even after we specifically requested it. Staff mentioned that the ants had been an ongoing issue, which made the lack of urgency or care even more frustrating. While I understand that insects can occasionally get into any building, what really disappointed us was the poor response and lack of service. When you're charging premium prices for these cottages, a high level of service should come with it. After this experience, we’re seriously reconsidering whether we’ll continue our tradition of returning to The Lodge
Town on the Lake just around corner with plenty food options. Great room all the comforts of home. Beautiful views to stroll around the property and enjoy.
Need a water station for guests, especially during the summer months. Some carpets need replacing, and facility showing signs of aging. Great location and staff, but for the price needs some TLC and basic daily amenities like water (similar to coffee station).

The grounds were spectacular, amenities were great . the restaurant was delicious yet extremely slow service . Our room was very small and for a “ deluxe” not what I had imagined , however the lake view and location made it worth while

While our stay was fabulous, I could not give a five star rating due to the price (after taxes and fees) $415 for one night, only to be hit with another $15 resort fee at check in. Don’t get me wrong, the property is immaculate, bedding very nice, and super quiet room and resort, but the extra $15 was just a step too far for me!
