Nice right on the shore of Lake Erie.
We always love our time here but this was our first experience in a cottage. I highly recommend if you are looking for more space and privacy.
Beautiful lake front lodge with well maintained grounds, updated clean rooms and very nice pool area. The onsite restaurant was gad a great breakfast buffet.
The towels provided at the pool were not much bigger than a hand towel and were thread bare! Drinks with alcohol were expensive compared to other places. The winery shuttle was a complete rip off? $50 for a 15 mile bus ride with NO amenities! We only went to 3 wineries, when told we would go to 4 or 5 different places (time permitting) We received NOTHING for our $50/pp! Not a wine glass, sample, nothing! For $15 you can get a " S'mores kit" which consist of 2 marshmallows, a round disc of chocolate, about the size of a half dollar and a 1 pkg of graham crackers (2 single crackers per pkg) Everything is overpriced and disappointing!
The resort is perfect for families. We rented three cottages for three families and everyone loved the outdoor activities (pools, playground, outdoor games, bikes). The cottages were well stocked and very comfortable. The firepits and s'mores were a great way to end the day. The Lodge had delicious food options. Sunsets were magnificent. Highly recommend for a family get-away.
Staff was very friendly. The room was very clean and the view was beautiful. The pool area was very clean and relaxing.
Great location, lovely place. Surprising given the price that breakfast was not included and was so expensive.

Absolutely hands-down the BEST family reunion experience! The resort is perfection for every age group from little-littles to teens to adults and the elderly. Lots of well-placed stopping spots on the walking/bike path that circles the resort to catch your breath, or have it taken away by a gorgeous sunset. Every single Staff person was friendly and helpful. We ate breakfast every morning at Horizon's, the restaurant on the gorgeous GOTL grounds and ate dinner there twice. The food was great and the wait-staff accommodating and upbeat. We booked a reunion again next year, same time/same place - a unanimous decision by every person in the family! Much gratitude to the wonderful people at GOTL Lodge!! 👏
