Days Inn by Wyndham Overland Park/Metcalf/Convention Center

I mainly liked how comfortable my kids were.

Didn't get to stay at property after paying for 2 days online. Was never refunded

They had no copy of my reservation when I arrived. Took much longer than expected to get checked in. Parking lot is very small not a lot of room. Door was unable to secure the deadbolt in the door to the room. What’s inside the room bedspread had spots all over it, not clean looking, mattress was like sitting on a feather pillow, sunk down into it. Breakfast consisted of granola bars. I don’t know who’s given this hotel 10 for 10 ratings but apparently they have not stayed in a very good hotel in the past. Room is very dated. Looks like 1960s.

This hotel is an okay option. Its next to a couple very nice hotels so the immediate area is well lit and feels safe. They do have breakfast and its fine but nothing special. Would stay again if i didnt have kids with me.

Like my comments state, & I have stayed here several times and every time I stay, I clean everything, especially the floors, which are dirty and sticky. Gross old appliances, not clean and not working properly. The lamp shades need replaced, they are old and dirty. My ice cream melted in the freezer and my cold food stayed warm. The air conditioner only blew luke cool air, that I had to go buy a fan to be comfortable and the room stayed hot. I know you get what you pay for but they should make sure that the refrig/freezers and air conditioners are in working order and that the bathrooms, towels and etc. are clean and dusted.

This us an inexpensive place to sleep for a night. I didn't want nor expect a 5 star experience. I needed a quiet clean place to stay for the night and that's what I got. I recommend.

The price was good and it was close to the event we were attending. The bed was fine but the pillows were terrible. The key card was very finicky.

The front desk guy was very rude and refused to check me in. He said that he wanted me to leave and did not want to check me in. So, I asked him to cancel the reservation; which he did while I waited. I have a cancellation confirmation email sent around the time I should have been checking in. I don't think he realizes (or cares) there the place is surrounded by hotels. I just walked across the parking lot and got a room at Quality Inn in less time than I spent waiting for him to get around to checking me in. The lobby/desk area was very cluttered and filthy. I can just imagine what the rooms must have been like.

It was a good value for the location compared to other properties in the area. While the hotel is showing its age, it was safe and clean. The staff was very kind and brought out additional breakfast items for our children.

The bathroom sink and shower drains did not work correctly, caused scum to accumulate.
